Engine Quit in Traffic
The dealer found a blown 10amp mini fuse in the TIPM. traced that to a chafed wire bundle that had chafed through the wire loom on the oil dipstick tube. A wire had chafed through the insulation and shorted out causing the fuse to blow. A quick easy fix and all is well again.- GW55

After some on line investigation and trouble shooting, I had the truck towed to the dealership today. We'll see what turns up. I suspect the imobilization system is some how involved.- GW55

Engine Quit in Traffic
I have a 2013 RAM 1500 5.7 Hemi with 6 speed trans. Today on the way home the engine quit while in traffic while traveling at about 30mph. I coasted to a side street with little effort, power steering was still working for alittle bit. Came to a stop and put the truck in park to try to restart...- GW55

Been waiting for an option like this. My mirrors also have auto dim mirror in addition to the power folding, and lights... I suppose that option isn't available in these mirrors? Would still be interested even without the dimming feature. -
Tri fold Tonneau Covers
I installed the undercover flex on my truck about 8 months ago. Its a 6 1/2 bed. installation was easy, it clamps in, the aluminum rails act as gutters. I get a little leaking at the tailgate corners on occasion. I love being able to open and close the tailgate with out having to have the cover... -

Door chime
^^ Like the above post, I just manually close the latch on the drivers door while its open. That will silence the door chime while the door is open. Just be careful to not close the door till you unlatch it first by pulling your door handle. I like to listen to XM/Sirius also while cleaning. -
How to turn Seatbelt Chime off
I haven't seen this any where on the forum, but found out how to disable the seatbelt chime while driving. The seat belt light on the EVIC is still on though. If any one is interested this is what to do...... 1. sitting in the truck buckle the seat belt. 2. turn on ignition without starting...- GW55

It doesn't turn on the wipers, you have to do that yourself. It just varies the speed depending on the rain, or mist. (intermittant up to full speed)- GW55

DIY: 2013 Ram add OEM Backup Camera
Got mine flashed about a week ago. They quoted me $150, and charged me $137. The invoice said "updated uconnect and programmed it to activate back up camera system." I don't know what kind of update they did. It came out with the same version it went in with. But the camera was working fine.- GW55

DIY: 2013 Ram add OEM Backup Camera
Thanks JeepGuy. Just had mine flashed by the dealer yesterday. Worked perfect on my 8.4A. Service dept. charged me $147.11 however. Seemed like they weren't sure what to do at first. I talked to a tech that knew what to do. Can't believe they charged me an hours worth of labor.- GW55
