    New Goat on the Farm

Been looking for a few weeks now. Finally settled on this one AND kept the 2012.:D:D Put about 700 miles on it this week and getting six mpg more than the 5.7. Good stuff!

That sounds pretty good. Maybe the glass pack rap sound I have is a result of long tubes and/or lack of cats. I gotta figure it out though. It sounds like I need a rebel flag flying from my tailgate.

Man, I'd love to see a pic of that install. Was trying to figure out how to run true duals, but the fuel tank seems to be the hindrance.

Should have been more specific. JBA longtubes, NO cats, Borla muffler and no resonators.

    Pedal Commander

Had mine for about a week now and mounted it above the ignition switch as well. So far I have not had any of the issues that others have had. May be because mine is a 2012 and more tolerant as an earlier model (?).

I am currently running the Borla Pro XS. It has a nice tone, but it has what I call the glass pack popping sound; especially at moderated throttle and lower rpm. I much prefer a more steady tone across the board - if that makes sense. I have three chamber Flowmasters on my Impala which are...

    Time for some new heads

The rest looked a lot better. Only about 9K miles on them.

    Time for some new heads

Compression check was good. Replaced the plug and all is well. Would never have thought a spark plug could make so much noise.

    Time for some new heads

Step one. Remove spark plugs. Found this one in the second hole from the front on the passenger side. With an inspection camera, I can see tiny pot marks on top of the piston. Not sure at this point whether this plug just failed or something rattling around in there broke it. Further...

Quick Non-MDS lifter question(making sure I got the right ones)

    Time for some new heads

Heck, if I lived out your way, I'd come help just for grins. I enjoy doing my own work, just not redoing it....again. But I ain't giving up on the beast. Pretty soon ol' Murphy's gotta go mess with someone else.

    Time for some new heads

Mighty observant of you to "assume" that I am "assuming" a dropped seat, since I specifically said, "I haven't had time to confirm, but I suspect it has dropped a valve seat." When I pull the heads, I will post some pics. In the mean time, I would appreciate any input folks might have concerning...

Somebody stole my cat. What's my replacement options?

Dang. I suspect mine got tossed when I cleaned up after the engine swap since I deleted them. I woulda sent one to you for the cost of shipping. Can't believe I let that happen....

    Time for some new heads

Jay did my tune. I have his cam and lifter kit. He likes https://www.besracing.com heads, which are distributed by http://www.highhorseperformance.com/ My heads have not been "worked" other than valve job and adding Jay's spring and pushrod recommendations. I haven't talked to them yet (BES)...

    Time for some new heads

Part two of this thread: https://www.ramforum.com/threads/time-for-a-new-engine.154379/ Have put about 9K miles on the new engine. About two weeks ago, I noticed that the engine would stumble and miss for ten or twenty seconds on initial startup and then smooth out and run fine all day. A few...

Most beautiful Borla muffler swap perhaps?

It sounds like old school glasspacks under moderate to hard acceleration. I may have to try that resonator you have.

    HEMI 5.7 or 6.4

    Stuck in park

Make sure your shifter cable or linkage has not come loose. Maybe things didn't get tightened up with the tranny swap.

    A/C Compressor Mounting Bolts

Turned left at a light yesterday and lost power steering. I figured it was the belt, so I just coasted to a stop. Sure enough, belt was in shreds. Cause: AC compressor is no longer mounted to the engine. Nearest I can figure is that the rear bolt worked its way out and the front two were left to...

Most beautiful Borla muffler swap perhaps?

Got my XS for $123.35 shipped from Ebay back in December. No cats, but retained the resonators. I like the sound until I get on it. Then it has that popping glass pack sound that I don't like. I would rather have a steady rumble at all times like the Flowmasters on my SS. Any recommendations on...
