I have a similar issue with mine. I’ve replaced the control module and the blend door actuators that are easy to access, there’s one more between the heater box and the firewall that I’m going to tackle tomorrow. Im no guru with electrical but think the actuators are wired in series, if there’s...
Well, it’s time to tackle this repair I’ve been putting off.
HVAC system has a mind if it’s own lately. I’ve replaced the 3 blend door actuators that are easy to access, as well as the control module, but no luck.
Tomorrow the dash is coming out so I can replace the last blend door actuator...
Drivers front caliper was starting to act up so I ordered a new one as well as fresh pads on both sides (you can see the drivers side pads are more worn, I’ll hold on to them for future use just in case) rotors look fine so I just knocked the rust ridge off and threw it back together. My wife...
Something’s not working..
I’m making my way down the line starting with cheap and easy (3 actuators done) to less cheap and easy (A/C and heater module is in the mail) and finally cheap and a pain in the ass (that little ******* behind the heater box.
After that I’ll be tracking down bad...
The only time my remote start fails to work is when my fuel level is low. I assume it’s a safety feature because my wife is able to consistently recreate the conditions :buttkick:
Big bump, I apologize.
My truck just started having this exact issue.
2013 Sport with 8.4 Uconnect and dual climate control.
I started with the inexpensive option and replaced the three BDA’s that are easy to access as well as clean up the ground wires on the battery and PDC. No luck...
If you don’t like doing regular brake services I would steer clear of drilled and slotted. They produce a lot more brake dust.
I would definitely replace the rotors with the pads; Power stop makes great quality.
I finally got tired of the brake dust and went to a set of Brembo’s, so far I’m...
All vehicles have issues, it comes down to your ability to either fix it (permanent) or repair it (temporary)
Gluing a steering wheel cover back on is a good example.
I had a similar issue with my fog lights when I switched to HID. It was because I originally had the ballasts hanging which pulled the connection slightly.
A few holes and some zap straps later and problem solved.
My low beams did act out a few years back (probably 5 years after they were...
I apologize in advance if I’m stating the obvious:
When I bleed the coolant I like to remove the rad cap and let the engine run with the heat set to max coming out the upper vents.
When you feel heat on your hand the thermostat should crack open and you’ll watch the coolant suddenly go down in...
Crankcase Cleaning $100 (They pour cleaner in your oil and run it for a bit before the oil change and follow it up with an additive, you do regular oil changes so don’t bother)
Service Fuel Injection System $255 (Throttle body cleaning, can be done at home with brake cleaner, a rag and a...
I also use Rain x and it is pretty hard on the nozzles. I usually have to replace them every couple of years. They’re pretty cheap and maybe take 10 minutes if you have a buddy give you a hand.
