lift with option to go back stock

Dropping the front differential is necessary for any real lift (not level). And cutting the crossmember to relocate it lower is what allows the diff to be dropped. The truck could be returned to stock afterward by welding the crossmember back together at the cut lines or purchasing a new...

    Bak F1

Very happy for you!! I was considering one of the Bakflip models before I decided to go the cheaper route and got a TonnoPro. Just don't expect Bak to do anything about it when the seals leak after the 3 year warranty expires.

2014 ram 1500 hemi trans acting up???

How much do the revs increase on the highway? I've noticed this on mine as well but it's associated with the truck coming out of MDS operation. When those extra 4 cylinders receive fuel, the revs kick up for a second and then drop back. A 500 rim idle is about right based on my experience...

14 Sport Bilstein 2.1 and no ball joint issue

Difference between the Bilsteins and Ranchos... Bilsteins are monotube (upgrade over factory), Ranchos are twin-tube (same as factory). Bilsteins lack ride adjustment, Ranchos have 9 positions of ride firmness. Bilsteins can be adjusted in .7" increments from 0-2.8" of lift, Ranchos are...

Upper Ball Joint/Control Arm issues data

I don't have any information to contribute, but I would love to see where this thread goes. I'm currently considering the Rancho QLL because of the Spring promotion they've got going on right now. I can swallow the $400 for a full set of F/R struts, but I'm not willing to drop even more cash...

    ERS(electronic range select) -tow/haul difference

The only time I really use ERS is when I don't want MDS (cylinder deactivation) to engage. I find MDS to be pretty annoying when I'm putting around town under 40-50mph, so I use ERS (set to 8) to keep it from entering MDS mode. Tow/Haul is pretty self explanatory. It alters the transmission...

    Rear hop under hard acceleration.

Well hopefully you can just take it to the dealer to trade for a 2015 Hellcat with the 6.2L SC. According to Ralph Gilles, the Viper will no longer have the highest horsepower rating in the SRT lineup, so you'll be looking at over 640HP.

    Rear hop under hard acceleration.

Almost any vehicle with IRS is going to hop under hard acceleration. There are bushing kits for the Challenger that should help you with that though. I have a 6 speed 392 as well, but seem to be one of the lucky ones that doesn't experience wheel hop. Not sure what is available for the RAM...

    Rancho Loaded level w/spacers

I'm not sure I would like how stuffed a 12.50 wide tire would look on an 8" rim anyway. You think 1/4" spacers would do the trick though?

    Rancho Loaded level w/spacers

Damnnnn that looks good lol. I have the same truck so this is exactly what I wanted to see to help me decide between a level and 4" lift.

    Lift without cutting

I retract my previous statements... any lift that requires a differential drop is going to require cutting of the frame bracket that the sub-frame originally mounted to. Seems there is no way around it.

    Lift without cutting

Well Rancho only makes a 4" lift for our RAMs, so it may not be what you are looking for. Though if you take a 4" lift and add bilsteins, it's nearly a 6" lift. But Summit has the kit for $1700 here and Rancho is running a promotion until 6/30 that offers $400 cashback in the form of a prepaid...

    new guy needs some advice

Ahhh, ShawnWhite has the Black Express package which comes with 20x8 wheels, not 20x9. Hence his ability to clear the UCA without a spacer while running a 35x12.50. This is excellent news considering I have the same wheels and I'm hoping to go with a 4" lift and keep the same wheels. EDIT...

    best 6 inch lift for a 1500.

If you search around, I'm sure you could find answers to some of your questions. But, since I'm in the same boat as you, I'll answer a few based on my experience. The best, most reputable kits come from Fabtech, BDS, and Rancho. Rough country also makes kits for our trucks, but some people...

    8 speed clunk?

I'm not saying you all are experiencing the same issue and I'm not trying to belittle anyone's genuine transmission problems, but these trucks do have torque converter lockup clutches that make the TC a solid, mechanical connection after about 25-30mph. And when slowing down to a stop, the...

Lift & Reuse Stock Black Wheels?

Boomer, EXCELLENT FIND!!! Thank you! Seems he was able to run 34s without spacers on a 3" BL and leveling kit. That's nearly perfect and more than enough to hold me over til I can afford new wheels. With the recent Chrysler warranty debacle concerning UCAs on trucks with leveling spacers, I...

    The 6.4 HD Hemi Thread

I know they are apples and oranges, but I have the 6.4/392 in my 6-speed 2013 Challenger and it is a gahdamm beast of an engine. I only wish my RAM had the same kind of grunt. Don't get me wrong, the 5.7 pulls the 1500 nicely. I've performed 1 oil change in my 392 using Mobil 1 Full Syn...

    offset help!

*Not to hijack, but...* Hey man, your truck looks awesome in that attached picture! I assume that was before you had your 6" lift installed? What were you mods at the point in time? Thanks!

Lift & Reuse Stock Black Wheels?

So I've got a some tax money coming back and would love to do a few mods to my truck. I have a 2014 Black Express Edition with the 20x8" black painted aluminum wheels. These are not the traditional 20x9" chrome clads. I'm wondering what kind of lift and tire combination I can get away with...

Snow performance in new 2014 Ram leaves a lot to be desired

I only have a 2014 Express with 8-speed and 3.92s. So I don't have the 4-AUTO setting. But in 4LOCK, my truck has been a beast and handled snow with ease this winter. Even jumping on the gas from a slow roll, all 4 just bit and took off. I would try locking in 4 wheel and see how that treats you.

    What's the difference?

I concur. Love my Black Express Edition. The interior of the tradesman also comes with rubber floors from what I have read. The Express comes with carpeted floors.
