The R/T isn't a separate model on the Ramtrucks site, it's the regular cab Sport 4x2 model. It's not listed separately but if you click on the what's included when you build out the RC there's a R/T badge in the list.
I haven't seen anything about the 2015 1500s or even the 2500/3500 and you...
Those refer to when fleet orders can be transmitted, they usually start and end earlier than 'regular' customer orders. The fleet orders for 1500s ended June 9 while there will be a short July order window for customer orders to complete the run in August.
Nice looking truck until I get to the fuelly tag at the bottom, tried to convince myself I should go 2500 instead but the 90 miles a day would kill my wallet. If they made a MegaCab Outdoorsman it would have been an even harder decision and prob ended up with a 2500.
Rotella does not currently meet the low ash and Ram specs for the EcoDiesel. They need a 3 year test cycle to be approved by FCA as a replacement oil. I think the factory Pennzoil is the only one 'approved' so far, others are believed to met the specs but are not approved by FCA yet.
Distance is the reason I'm considering the Cummins, well that and the resale around here and a discounted 2013. Rarely seen any HDs with anything but the diesel
The two I've testdrove didn't alternate, they went up from park mode first at the rear and then the front to keep the headlights from shining too far forward and up. If you went through multiple heights it alternated but that was because it went, for example from park, to normal to off road 1...
The SRT 300 is done now, the only none Dodge SRT product will be the Grand Cherokee. Well and the Viper in Europe, was always sold as a Chrysler over there and I would assume that would continue with its launch there this summer. It was planned to be launched for European sales at leMans this...
My vote for worst thread ever, should be titled "Those who don't think or look are doomed for pain."
You can't be bothered to verify what you are touching and then warn us to watch out?? That's called LAZINESS, I know how many clicks it is to pop the transmissions in all the work trucks into...
It is the same internals with an additional servo that senses slip at the rear and automatically selects the 4w high position. The part-time (non-auto, 4 position) case is the Borg 44-45 and the on-demand (auto, 5 position) case is Borg 44-44. Surprisingly little has been published about...
It's more important with low-profile stickier tires, they build more heat and the pressures have wider swings. Pure nitrogen is much easier to know what will happen to the pressures as you push them to their limits.
Most Discount Tires have begun stocking nitrogen, and 200 bucks seems crazy...
Nice, looks like Mopar has a full store on Amazon. I guess given the number of people that hit Amazon first and don't know OEMs sell direct it makes sense to market to them. And great the dealer hooked you up with their price.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind when I finally decide on a truck. The 6.4 payload and power is really pulling on me and it's actually a little cheaper than a 1500 EcoDiesel with the same equipment, minus what's not available on a 1500. But 28 mpg on diesel against maybe 15 on the 6.4 and 100...
That looks great, what did you use?
I'm still torn between an EcoDiesel 1500 for the mileage and borrowing my dad's 350 if I need payload or a 2500 6.4 and eating the fuel costs. Either way Outdoorsman trim with single exhaust and that black paint would look perfect
They just started offering the Pentastar across the full 1500 range, although my dealer couldn't get it listed with a CC 6'4 bed, but it was in a Laramie CC 5'7. Didn't check Longhorn or Limited as I don't want to spend that much.
I would guess the work, and the cost of a Cummins 6.7, would far outweigh buying a loaded 2500/3500 and selling your chassis. Now a 5.0 could be interesting but I'm guessing you'd still tweak the frame/suspension with too much torque, and the wiring alone would be crazy.
As I remember from...
Do the paddles actually force a gear change or just adjust the highest gear selection? I've driven a few paddle shifter with torque converter cars and wow was that a waste of engineering since the delay was insane, even on a Aston. Got to test drive a Vanquish, on a whim I figured I'd stop at...
I'm getting it as a commuter vehicle and camping hauler when I need it 10-12 times a year. Moving from a Suburban at 14 mpg on premium and drive 90 miles at least every day so 30ish highway would be great. If I was hauling anything I'd get the 2500 6.4, would suck for everyday but no worse...
I was thinking the 'Talk about Dodge Ram' one, seems to be an ego stroke contest and has seriously hurt the chances of me getting a Ram.
Well that and the LARGE number of Ram tailgaters and lane weavers in Atlanta, I've learned the headlights in my mirrors and just about know they will run up...
