I’m pretty sure this noise is coming from my rear diff and from research my pinion bearing may be going bad possibly? Has anyone else experienced this noise on their trucks and how much did it cost to fix? In the video I put the truck on jack stands (barely tall enough to get my 35’s off the...
You would be happy with the V6. Easier maintenance and better mpg. The only thing I wouldn’t be happy with is when I start it up in the morning or step on the gas pedal to go fast. Hearing my hemi roar is worth it
I hate to say it but this is exactly what my truck did when my lifter went bad and ate my cam. Except I was on cylinder 3. It’s been 50k miles since I had them all replaced and a new cam and the truck runs great. Just wasn’t cheap
The only reason I would buy the v6 is for the easy oil changes. Other than that I pick the hemi all day. Just hate changing its oil because it’s a messy business to that oil filter off and out.
Man I know this isn’t what you want to hear but I had air fuel mixture code and a bad cylinder 3 misfire above 2500 rpm. My lifter was destroyed and ate my cam up really bad. Cost me 4500 at the dealer to fix because that’s a little outside my expertise. Been 20k miles since the cam and lifter...
I didn’t get pictures of the lifters but they did replace all of them. As for oil I used 5w-20 castrol edge full synthetic and k&n oil filter changed about every 7k miles. (I drive a lot of highway miles) I had both hemi ticks for a while. Got the exhaust manifold bolts replaced also. She runs...
I really hope it did. Unfortunately I had to have the dealership do these repairs as it’s a little bit outside my mechanical expertise but they claimed everything looked good. I guess time will tell if anything is else is damaged in there from the metal.
Well everyone it turns out I definitely had destroyed lifter in cylinder 3. Ate my Cam for dinner. Here is a picture. She runs great now and hope it holds out another 130k.
2016 ram 1500. Mine is going under the knife on Wednesday. 130k miles is when It started. Always changed my oil around 7k miles with Castrol edge full full synthetic 5w-20 and a K&N oil filter.
I put mostly highway miles in the past 3 years of ownership with some towing of my 6000 lb travel...
Hello everyone. I have a 2016 ram 1500 5.7 hemi with 130,000 miles. Recently my truck started throwing a P219A code of air fuel mixture imbalance. I knew I had a bad exhaust manifold leak so I had both sides replaced with new exhaust manifold bolts and gaskets at the dealer. Fixed my exhaust...
Did you ever get this resolved? My truck is doing the exact same thing. I figured it might be my horrible exhaust header leak. Got all my bolts and seals replaced and I still get the check engine light and driving simile to your truck.
I change my oil about every 9k miles on my 2016. Full synthetic with a k&n oil filter has kept it happy for 130k miles no engine problems. Well just had both sides of my exhaust manifold bolts replaced so that wasn’t fun but hopefully she’s good for a while.
I’ve never backed into anything with my rear view camera but I’ve been in my fair share of not at fault accidents. But yes it probably will cause carnage to what ever it hits!
Well after getting rear ended last year I finally found the bumper to replace my factory painted bumper. The Smittybilt M1 rear bumper is amazing! I got it on sale for around $800 and it includes reverse led lights. It was super easy to install and I love the way it looks. Good luck to the next...
