my cruise has been refusing to turn on occasionally. until yesterday and now it will not come on at all, only 2000 miles, guess I'll be visiting the dealer next week.
I too was bothered by that. tried flipping the switch but didn't like that, eventually I purchased another OHC with the homelink in it and it had the switch for an '11 which doesn't havr the contour so I flipped that one.
With this new info I may take another look at my original switch...
this is my fix. picked up a visor from an older ram and disassembled the mirror. took the cover and put three pieces of velcro around the mirror and three on the cover. We'll see how it holds up.
If you don't want to drill any holes another option is the vents on the cab back. You will have to remove the inner cab back trim panel. I brought mine in thru the left side vent, then went under the seats to the front cup holder.
On my set it said a hole was needed for the front screw of the rear most bracket (QC). it was actually the rear hole for the rear bracket. I have the 2-step so I didn't bother with the hole, same rust concerns. I did have a slight rattle at speeds above 65 so I went thru and tightened the bolts...
