    I never turn MDS off on my 2500. My 5500 dropped a lifter at 63k and the only time MDS kicks in is when the pto is running. So from my experience the MDS has nothing to do with longevity....

    You can still tell your driving a 3/4 ton, just feels like luxury 3/4 ton now. The big bumps and dips are smaller and the small ones are non existent.

    All I can say is WOW! It feels like I’m driving a heavy half. Bone jarring potholes are a thing of the past. I haven’t ridden in the backseat yet, (which was horrendous before the swap) but I’m sure it will be much better now as well. The shocks are well worth the $$$$. Install was around 3 hrs.

    I have a totaled 6.4 4500 and started swapping parts. The old one had a rattle like a rod was broke. Since changing it, alls good.

    I had a small evap leak that turned into a large evap leak. I was finally able to chase it down to a shelled evap pump in the charcoal canister. Several hours diagnosing, 5 minute fix.....

    Shifting and throttle response is amazing. My custom 87 tune utilizes mds in all gears. Fuel mileage may be up a tad, quit checking it regularly some time ago and my memory sucks....

    Buy it from HF and he will load his custom tunes. the canned tunes aren’t very impressive. His customer service is top notch as well.

    I had the same issue. I changed the purge valve, checked all the lines to no avail. I finally swapped out the vacuum pump in the canister and boom problem solved. 3 minute fix tops.

    The 6.4 is a gas monster in town, high winds and heavy footed driving (wife drives it like she stole it, I drive it like I borrowed it).     Buy 3, get 2 plus oil changes for $80 plus whatever filter you choose. I've being using Castrol for 100k with no issues.
