I don’t use 4x4 all that much. Weather changes to fast around here. What snow we do get is usually only on the pavement for less than a few hours.
With that said I have (5) 5 gallon buckets with tops filled with sand. They fit perfectly between the tailgate and the 2x6 that is cut to fit the...
Well finding the sweet spot is up to you... have no tips for that. Just have to play with it and test it. This may be because the canister was almost empty but it looked like the cannon was producing intermittent foam. There was few shots that looked like it was getting rinsed and then would...
Came out good.
You will like the foam cannon. I have a pressure washer and have not stepped up to a foam cannon yet. I am still using my foam gun. (Same idea as the cannon, but attaches to the garden hose instead of the pressure washer).
Can I give you some advice on the foam cannon? I have...
My uneducated guess is that it’s “packaging” for some part when assembling one part of the truck. It’s probably used to separate all of the same pieces at a particular station in the assembly line. Just so happened that it made it into the truck.
Just like when you buy your kid a new toy and it...
It’s awesome! Actual application is super easy. It already rained today and the beading on it is CRAZY!! Luckily I had already driven for the day and the truck was parked for the rain. So it will still be clean in the am!
Prep is key though for durability.
Started with a strip wash. Then...
Washed the truck.
Finally had time to finish polishing this thing. Only had the bed sides, tailgate and rear bumper left.
Once I finished polishing it, finished it off with Adams Polishes ceramic spray coating.
Didn’t snap any pics of it though.

I have rod socks for each rod. Then lay them diagonally across the bed floor. Although I only have 6’ , 6’6” , and 7’ rods and have a 5’7” bed with soft cover on the bed.

How do you turn off the rear bulb out warning?
I have LEDs for brake/turn that I installed a number of years ago. I recently obtained AlphaOBD and changed rear lighting setting to LED. Every once in a while I get a bulb out warning for either left or right side. Lasts only about a minute and...
RockBlock or RockBlok
I believe I got it on amazon. It’s a thick rubber membrane that has adhesive on the edges. One goes in the tailgate side, one in the bedside. Followed the directions and have had zero problems. Almost 3 years now. Have hauled over 4 tons (yes, 4 tons...1/2 ton increments)...
2 step paint correction, a couple spots got 3 step, coating prep wipe down, then ceramic spray coating. Only got the cab, hood, front bumper, and roof done today.
The rear will have to wait till probably next week.

I took the advice I posted and started to prep for my BIG detail coming up this week.
Strip washed using foam gun and followed up with wash mitt and bucket of strip wash. Followed that with Iron Remover then rinsed that off. While still wet and using a lot of Lube provided by detail spray, I...
You should grab some Detail Spray and a clay bar (they have kits pre packaged) and really decontaminate your paint.
You could really dive off the deep end easily with them and get crazy detailed.
Adams Polishes is awesome! Great American Company, who backs their products 110%. IF by chance...
Don’t worry about the fuse tap.. get rid of that screw tap connector.
Attach one strip of LEDs under your steering column to the footwell lighting connector. It will be tied up to a wire bundle just behind and above your OBDII port. It’s a small black connector. It will have a colored...
Finally got around to having my front wheel bearing/hub assemblies replaced. I knew the right side was bad.. was unsure about the left side. I had them both replaced to be safe and not have to worry about it again.
It’s been so long I forgot how quiet the truck rides. I have known the right was...
I believe it has something to do with our “crap” OEM key fobs. My fobs (and others from reading in this forum) don’t work half the time.
I set global down as my first feature change when getting AlphaOBD. Let the system rest for 5 mins, went out and tried it and I worked as described.
From...
Back when I was wiring up aftermarket LED turn/marker lights I got a bulb out message with the key in the on/acc position and engine off. When truck was running I would get the flickering, and bulb out warning.
Your results may vary.... as we all know, every truck responds a little bit...
I should have written it down. I found it about a month ago when I did my brakes.
for caliper bolts. The ones that go to the guide pins
24 front
22 rear
130 front
120 rear
For the caliper mounting brackets.
Maybe someone else with concrete answers will chime in
