Limited Tire Options What Should I get?

I've got 54,000 miles on my 295/65/20 Ridge Grapplers. I can probably get another 20,000 out of them. Still handle great in the rain. Haven't had snow in about a year so can't say yet how they will handle that. Still as quiet as the day I got them.

TOMORROW'S THE BIG DAY...LOTS OF UPGRADES

I just put the Huskys on mine a few weeks ago. My tires are 295/65s so only 11.5" wide but on a +01 offset. When backing up and turning the wheel to the right they rubbed on passenger side so I had to do a little trimming. It was hitting on the inside and lower half of the mud guard. I also have...

    HD Lift and Tire Information

True. But when you live in Indiana it's the best way to get all of the salt off the underbody in the winter.

    HD Lift and Tire Information

Nitto Ridge Grappler for the tire and I would go with a +19ish offset on your wheels. I have the factory flares and a +1 offset Fuel Wheel and they stick out more than I'd like. Can't keep the truck clean plus the truck is now too wide to fit through most of the good auto car washes near me.

    6.4 Hemi Thermostat

Glad you asked this. I had to have a new thermostat installed over the winter and I've just started noticing it in the 220 range now that the weather is warming up. I couldn't remember ever noticing the temps before I had it replaced.

    What's the advantage?

For the record, I have the Bilstein kit that you linked. I expected it to also improve my ride. It leveled the truck out great but it did not improve my ride much at all. If I had it to do over again I would buy the Thuren set up for $100 or $200 more. I've not heard a bad thing about them.

    A bit of a rant

Same thing happened to me about a month ago. It was about -10F that morning. I was out of warranty so I took it to a local mom and pop shop. Dealer had told me the part was on backorder but my shop had the part the next morning and had truck by the end of the day. I didn't ask if it was...

    Help picking tires

My 295s are a little under 12" wide on a 20x9 and either 0 or +1 offset. They stick out past my stock fender flares. I can't keep my truck clean. If I had it to do over again I would definitely go with the +19 or 20, especially if I was going with a 12.5" wide tire.

    Help picking tires

Have the Ridge Grapplers on mine. 295/65/20. Haven't had real deep snow but they have handled Indiana's 3 to 4 inch snows on the highway with ease. Very quiet tire too.

    Thermostat

My dealer told me the same about the back order. Called my local mom and pop repair shop and they had mine the next day. This was 3 weeks ago. Had to buy housing also which meant $317 for a thermostat! 2016 6.4 with 46K.

Has anyone sold their Transforce tires?

I sold mine along with rims for 600. I had 40k miles on mine. I actually think they did great in the snow and probably had 10 to 20k left. I just wanted a more aggressive looking tire.

    Like I need these... 2018' 20" Limited Wheels on my 2013' 2500

When I bought tires for my 2014(in 2014) Ram 1500 from Discount Tire they supposedly ordered TPMS for a 2013. My 2014 wouldn't read them. They reordered what they said were the ones for a 2014 and they worked. Not sure if they were fibbing on the wrong year or if they ordered something totally...

    HD Lift and Tire Information

Yes its is the less expensive kit without the remote reservoir shocks. I love the kit and the improvement in appearance but the ride did not improve as much as I'd hoped. If I did it over I'd spend the extra cash and get thuren's kit.

Level Spacers vs Thuren or Bilstein

Finally got it sitting the way I wanted. 2" Bilstein level with 295/65/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 20" Fuel Vapors with double dark tint. Tires are at 50 psi all around and ride is much better.

    (Sold)Black Ram 2500 wheels and tires. $600

Up for sale is a set of 4 wheels and tires off a 2016 Ram 2500. 39k miles on tires but they have some life left. Located in central Indiana and pick up only because I'm sure shipping will be outrageous. TPMS INCLUDED. Asking $600. I can remove tires if necessary.

    Thinking about an upgrade...

Nice truck! The ride is definitely stiffer but I wouldn't go back to my 1500. The 6.5' bed is enough reason to upgrade. I couldn't fit anything in my 5'7" bed.

Level Spacers vs Thuren or Bilstein

I'm hoping they soften a little over time. I also wondered that about the alignment. I'm going to drive it this week and let everything settle before the alignment next week. Anything to wear these tires out quicker. Keep hearing guys only getting about 30k miles out of theirs. I've got 38k and...

Level Spacers vs Thuren or Bilstein

Got the Bilsteins on yesterday. Love the look. I was expecting a little more improvement in the ride than what I got. Wondering if I should have just gone with Thuren. Oh well, now it's ready for better tires.

Level Spacers vs Thuren or Bilstein

I ended up ordering the Bilstein 5112 kit off Amazon. Will hopefully install this weekend. Called a shop to get a labor estimate and it was going to be over $400. Looks like I'll be doing it myself. My wife says I'm not mechanically inclined so wish me luck!
