yeah i wasnt lookng to spend the 2500... i just rebuilt the top half of motor was lookng to save some money. i see summit sells a VEGE rack for 1200 i might try... or just get a used rack out of a junk car.- fadetoblack188

Melling oil pump 10452 or 10452HV
i put the regular mellings pump in not the hv, i get 42psi at idle and around 70 on the highway.- fadetoblack188

So the steering rack is grinding horribly when turning left. really grinding... a new rack is 2500.. i dont feel like paying that i am find it impossible to find a remanufactured one. unlesss your going to pump them up under the oil its soaking in by hand, soaking them is a waste of time.. you can put some assembly lube on the roller if it makes you feel better but the cam already should be covered in assembly lube. you can also pressurize the oil port with a garden sprayer...- fadetoblack188

engine are made to wear. there will always be some form of metal in the oil no matter what i feel. this is alot of work as a preemtive. but my hats off to you for taking it on.- fadetoblack188

Hooked up monitor and wheel Speed reading on both fronts no issue and Speedo is working . Maybe they have been stored in there for a bit who knows. I cleared them Will see if they return- fadetoblack188

Ok some codes I noticed here. Could this be why my transmission has been shuddering and driving off??? And my speedo bouncing driving down the highway Coincidence I just put motor Back in the truck couple weeks ago? Surging rpm While cruising
It has 156k. Had a check engine light for a fuel level sensor. Comes on when I go below half a tank. Needs a sender. Otherwise no codes- fadetoblack188

Truck is gunna be the death of me. I have developed a surging rpm now while driving down the parkway. Even with cruise control on at a consistent speed in the same gear the rpm’s will just sit and bounce like a heartbeat over and over consistently . i disconnected battery yesterday for 8 hours... drove funny at first but now today it is shifting better... though i have developed a slight rattle on acceration right before it shift second.. also sometimes when i take my foot of the gas. i have a whine like a super charger if i floor it from a dead stop.. might have always been there i dont know... i was just out testing shifts so i tested by flooring from a dead stop.. normal driving it shifts perfect.... for now also i feeel i have a slight rattle from time to time right...- fadetoblack188

i saw that. i plan to drain and remove the pan.. then jack it up from the rear with a level flush against the pan rail until level. then install new plan and fill- fadetoblack188
