I had a very similar issue when getting my truck earlier this year. When I bought my 2011 I was able to obtain a CDI (Certain Designated Individual) number that gave a significant discount. Basically employee price plus $200 processing fee.
When I ordered my 2014, the negotiation was based...
I was driving in a rainstorm on Tuesday. DIC flashes "electronic braking system not functioning" or something like that. Brake light and check engine light both come on.
Brake light reset after I cycled the ignition, check engine still on.
This is the second time this has happened...
Since no one has responded, I'll post what I've found out in hopes of helping someone else in the future.
After installing the cap and plugging in the new LED brake light, the issue of "brake light out" on the DIC still remained.
I got some feedback from another forum stating that I need to...
Got my cap installed this afternoon. It's an A.R.E. Overland model.
I really dig it. Now I have a place for my dogs.
I do have an issue with the brake wiring so if anyone can chime in on my other thread here...

Maybe that helps?

I ordered a cap for my truck and it will be installed today.
I decided to pre-wire the truck to make it more robust than what the shop would do by using high temp wire, convoluted tubing, etc. Here's what was done:
Battery line directly from battery with inline fuse.
Tapped into brake wire...
My advice is to go order exactly what you want. That's what I did and my truck is similarly equipped to what you are looking for (with exception of 6'4" bed and bench seat). I'm also in Michigan. I got a decent deal on the truck but got raped on my trade-in.
Here you go. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the kind words fellas. I really dig this truck. It's my 3rd Ram and my favorite of all.
Here's a thread that shows my previous trucks too.

Thanks.
I have an A.R.E. Overland cap on order. Going to put black Mopar side steps on it. Rear Bilsteins and rear coil spacers. I have 1.5" ones at home right now, but I'm thinking about going with 1" instead. After that, maybe debadge or put black badges on it.
That's probably...
A few weeks ago I decided to upgrade from my 2011 Ram and ordered myself a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Outdoorsman 4x4.
One of the main things I was torn about when ordering the 2014 was the option to get 20 inch black aluminum wheels. My decision was to go the aftermarket route. So....with...
I have a 2014 and just leveled it with the Bilstein's at 2.1". Inspected the ball joints a week later and everything looks fine. However, I did get the Zone UCAs and will install them this week for peace of mind .
Figured I'd finally make an account on here since I've been lurking for quite some time. Loyal Ram owner here from Michigan. First Ram was a 2001 1500 Quad Cab Sport Offroad 4x4 that I purchased used in 2002.
It was all stock with exception of going to 285 70 17 BF Goodrich A/Ts instead...
