Crazy good for towing and in the Hill country! If it was to low of gearing to your liking, you could always throw some 35's on the factory wheels when you need new tires. Even with no lift they will fit with only slight rubbing on the control arms at full lock.

Well by pressing tow/haul the first time that already limits the transmission to 5th gear even though it will show 6th gear as an option. The only thing pressing the +- sellector will do is keep the truck from turning on MDS while in tow/haul. But mine has never gone into MDS in tow/haul.

Guys that is a broken unit bearing. Looks to me when it broke it then broke the axle stud shaft.
I see no sheared off lug nuts.

My guess is yes absolutely the dumbasses at the stealership could have overtightened the new pinion nut causing to much pinion bearing preload.
The reason I say this is because it has happened to me twice.
The first time was on the rear axle of my 2014 2500 that the pinion seal started leaking...

Put them on and see what happens. That's all I can tell you. They will stick out a couple inches I'm sure.
You can always flatten out/push in/ clearance the back part of the wheel well that sticks out by softening it up with a heat gun.
May also require slight trimming on the front bottom edge...
Looks like the classic leaky axle seal, sling gear oil all around the wheel to me.

My 2014 Mega has no top link shock and it has a one piece rear driveshaft.
I do notice that it does it more when in tow haul mode driving around in the city.

Mine does that too sometimes but I feel it's more the combined play in the transmission, transfer case and rear axle.
It's as if all that combined play just perfectly unloads at the same time.
Just my thought.

I'm at just under 62000 miles and coolant is the last ff left. All other fluids have been flushed and changed.
It's next on the agenda. Probably after the first of the year.
