Morimoto xb vertical fogs installed. Small review

Installed mine on my 2013 Sport yesterday, very easy install. The only issue I had was that I had to drill out the mounting brackets to 11/16" where they snap onto the housing. The factory size is 1/2". Easily done with a step bit.

    Painting fender flares... Tips, tricks?

Order the proper 3M adhesive online, most of the stuff in the parts stores is typically not strong enough, wide enough, or long enough. It cost me $400 to have the flares painted, so I'd expect roughly that. Would also be an good DIY, but a fair amount of work to do properly.

    Uconnect 8.4 & 8.4an update - 17.11.07

Just did this update last night, and now my startup screen is an SRT logo. Also the system rebooted itself three times during the commute this morning. Frustrating... EDIT: Seems to have corrected itself, and the update seems like a good thing thus far.

Is Laramie Dash Real or Fake Leather?

0% chance it's real. Clean with lightly soapy water and treat with a silicone free UV protectant. I prefer Aerospace 303 or 1Z Cockpit.

    Anyone running 18 inch wheels?

Thanks everyone, the 18 just seems like the right size. The bad thing is every tire seems to be E load range and I don't want that much weight or stiffness. I did find a couple of 17" tires that would work. Maybe it won't look too bad since I'm staying with 33" OD.

    Bump.

    Anyone running 18 inch wheels?

The other main issue I'm having is finding an 18" tire that is approximately 33" and is not Load Range E.

    Anyone running 18 inch wheels?

I'm looking at options to put on after leveling, thinking of downsizing from 20" to 18" or 17", but I think the 17 is a touch small possibly. I'm planning on running a 33" tire with factory flares. Any info helps: wheel offset or backspacing, tire size, suspension mods...

Good tip, I like that the Icon coilovers are adjustable. Looking forward to it, thanks.

1500: Carli 2.0 Commuter vs. Kore HP Series

Never heard of him (not surprising given my lack of experience) but the setup looks legit; thanks for the tip! It's cool that he offers a choice of shock valving. Carli also offers Kings, but I'm not sure my application calls for another $500 over the Commuter w/ Fox, which is $900 more than...

1500: Carli 2.0 Commuter vs. Kore HP Series

I can find almost zero information about / experiences with either kit. Anybody running either setup? From what I gather, the front coilovers and rear shocks are identical Fox units (not sure if valving is the same) and the Carli adds rear springs, panhard drop bracket, and rear swaybar...

    Radar detectors.......gimme the scoop

Mine has paid for itself many times over. That said, it's only a tool, not a license to speed. You still have to be sensible. Do your research, but I'll summarize my opinions as this: buy a Valentine 1 if you value directional arrows. Buy a Passport if you value GPS tagging of false alerts...

Alpine 8.4AN dash speaker and OEM subwoofer upgrade- '15 2500 CC

The required dash speaker adapters are added to the cart automatically at zero cost. You need one package of (2) for the sub, and I had to cut the spade connectors off the speaker end of the adapters and strip the wire because the sub has spring terminals. Easy as pie, and no modification to...

Alpine 8.4AN dash speaker and OEM subwoofer upgrade- '15 2500 CC

If you order from Crutchfield, the dash speaker adapters are included. You need to order one sub adapter, which is acutally a package of (2) adapters for the dual coil style speaker. I also bought a 7/16" plug for the bolt hole on the bottom of the sub box at the local hardware store.

Alpine 8.4AN dash speaker and OEM subwoofer upgrade- '15 2500 CC

I just replaced all 3 dash speakers and the sub with the same PNs you listed. Noticeable improvement, especially the 3.5". Well worth the low cost. Thanks for sharing.
