Magnaflow muffler power loss
I installed a 14" Magnaflow a while back, and have been thinking about replacing it. I noticed a power loss right off the bat, and it seems my mpg dropped when I put it on too. Has anyone else had similar results? Only performance mods I have are Hemifever tune on 91 octane (using good gas)...- 620mac

Got an email from Sean, he said disconnect the battery, which I tried to no avail. Now I'm stuck in recovery mode, and I have to be at work at 6:30am 40 minutes from where I live. Tuner question
Don't get a Diablosport anything. They are nothing but problems, extremely cheaply made. My truck is sitting and can't go anywhere right now bc of their products, and their customer service is only open during business hours, so I'm out of a truck until Friday because of their crappy products...- 620mac

I work 6am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, are their support hours after 5? I also don't have the computer cable. I've tried unhooking the battery for an hour, that did nothing. The truck is showing all error messages possible, and will not accept the stock tune at this point.- 620mac

I was trying to upload my Hemifever tune today, it went through all the steps, I know I did everything right, and then it said it failed due to an error and had to go back to stock. I wound up running it right behind the plastic below the bumper with a 4 inch collector on 2 inch pipe and I can definitely tell a difference. I've taken a bunch of pictures, and will do a write up. Nevermind, that looks like a big task. I think for now I will route it so the collector sits basically flush with the back side of the plastic deflector below the bumper. Hoping the air rushing below the deflector will get sucked in the collector, creating somewhat of a ram air, without losing...- 620mac

This is also why I'm wondering if I removed the snorkel and closed that hole, if that would force it to get the cooler air from down below. Only concern I have is if 2" pipe would be big enough if I didn't that.- 620mac

Just an update - I matched these with 6000k Morimoto HID's and they look perfect. Do not get 5500k, it is noticeably different. I love this setup. Tons of light going down the road, off to the sides, and street signs are lit up WAY down the road. There's absolutely no comparison to stock... -

I understand the point of power at the higher rpm due to better flow. After the tune, it has a lot of power on the highway especially. Pulls really well even over 80. Would a ram air setup benefit more from this exhaust being more free flowing? Seems in theory it would. I'm gonna be rigging...- 620mac

Any way to use non-OEM fender flares with mud guards?
I like the look of fender flares, but I know generally you can only either have mud guards, or fender flares (non-OEM). I do have the OEM painted fender flares with Husky mud guards currently. Looking for something that stands out a bit more, and keeps a little more crap off the sides. -

Well, I figure even if it winds up somewhere behind the fog light area, it will still be getting more, and cooler air. I have tow hooks, and I have fog lights, neither of which I want to remove, so I need to work around that. A lot can be done with routing pvc. If I can get this figured out...- 620mac
