Well people I love the ram trucks and have owned many, I agree the Hemi is a great motor and never had an issue with but granted I trade in every two years. I purchased my first Cummins in 2018 and if you love Ram but disappointed in the power of the Hemi then I promise you won’t be disappointed...
I have a gen4 2500 Cummins and I couldn’t be happier with the way the truck has treated me with no issues. Or drivability problems. Can’t say the same about my buddies gen5!!
Gen4 all the way!! They just look more like a brute and not a grocery getter, my engineer traded his gen4 in for a Gen5 and after lifting and decking it out he wants his Gen4 back lol
I have had both and currently have a 2018 2500 with the Cummins and for myself will never have another gasser. Fuel mileage is much better with the Cummins, towing is much smoother with better acceleration and the Cummins is basically bulletproof and you can run that Cummins for half a million...
I pull a 32ft double slide trailer around 9000lbs, started with a 2016 ecodiesel and it was ok did the job but upgraded to the 2500 6.7 Cummins and its really no comparison! My 2500 pulls the trailer like there is nothing behind me, I also have a really good anti sway and equalizer hitch.
I have owned nothing by Ram trucks from the Hemi, Ecodiesel and now my 2018 Cummins and I have never had any of my beloved Rams in the shop for anything other than routine maintenance or lift kits. Sorry for those who have issues and hope they don’t give up on the best trucks made by far!!
I looked at PW and Rebel and in the end I chose a HD 2500 Laramie with the Cummins and could not be happier around town mpg 18-19 and hwy 21-22 and can pull a house over with the torque. You can get some great deals now on these trucks, would definitely advise you to consider. Just my 2 cents...
Have had 2 Ram Sports and now my 2018 Laramie 2500 w/matching painted bumpers and have never had a problem with pain other than the mistake of getting behind a rock hauler but that was my fault. I think you will be pleasantly happy with your upgrade to a Ram and it’s quality.
I have a 2018 2500 that I purchased new 4 months ago and I went from dealership to Discount Tire to get rid of the Firestone junk and put Duratrac’s on the rig. I have had Duratrac tires on 4 previous Rams and my wife’s Jeep and sons Jeep and will always use these tires as they are in my opinion...
