    The 6.4 HD Hemi Thread

Did you guys ever pull the trigger on the Titan tanks? This is one of the only things currently pushing me away from the Ram. I need better fuel capacity for the long tows.

new tires and alignment, loose steering now?

Assuming they did the alignment correctly, my suggestion is just to drive it a bit. New tires are often, and notoriously, squirrely until they get through a few heat-up and cool-down cycles. Give it some miles and some time, then reassess. I'm guessing they'll settle down in fairly short order.

update pcm = no TPMS light :)

Then why is Ford's 2017 F-250 spec'd for 65 psi front, 60 psi in the rear? The door sticker actually states that! Oh, and you can change the TPMS thresholds for both F-250/350 in FORScan all day long. This is squarely an FCA issue. Don't blame the .gov for FCA's stupidity.

    A/C condensation dripping at Muffler

Pretty sure that's not from your A/C. A by-product of combustion is water, and that is why your exhaust out of the tailpipe is moist and why often times you see drips of water coming out of the muffler's weep hole or tailpipe.

Bummed out!! Truck can't tow what I need her to.

We run a ProPride with the 1400 lb bars on our 31' bumper pull TT and it is worth every penny. Started out with a Reese and while it did a decent job of WD, it failed miserably at minimizing sway. Not cheap, but again, it's worth it. Watch the videos...

    6.4 Hemi Gear Swap

Great to hear, but I'm sure the boys here would like to hear you quantify your comments a little further. Ya hear? How's it better? How's it on the hills? Have you towed with it yet? Etc., etc. Discuss.

    6.4 Hemi Gear Swap

Looking forward to it, although I'm not sure I would go 4.88 (most likely 4.56). But gears and fuel capacity (or lack thereof) are really the only things that make me think twice about a 6.4-powered Ram.

    The 6.4 HD Hemi Thread

Spend some time on BITOG, and I think you'll find Castrol Edge 0W40 is probably the best 0W40 on the market right now, per VOA/UOA. I run this oil in my BMW 3.0L N55 over here on the autobahn at 100+ mph for hours at a time and it just purrs. I would add it's become a much quieter engine since...

    Squishy Brakes??

Didn't mean that. But I'm not fond of drive-by rude counter-points either. Brake fluid is a great place to start and can certainly be a cause of brakes becoming "squishy". It absorbs water over time (highway miles or not), which can lead to less than ideal stopping feel as the water heats...

    Squishy Brakes??

Just stop it. Unless you have proof of that, or proof that ALL other MFRs don't also do the same thing, go somewhere else with that mess. Until then, it's just your opinion. Of course, feel free to stay and post all the useful information you can. I do know that I had 10 years and 120k (with...

    Squishy Brakes??

Remember that brake fluid is NOT a lifetime fill. I make it a point to flush the fluid in all of my vehicles about every two years if I'm able and it ALWAYS firms up the pedal. Personally, I would also stay with OEM parts. However, I would possibly go with an aftermarket stock-like rotor...

    Brake pads

I would add that brake wear, like tire wear, is a subjective thing. The way people drive influences a lot. Some people use their brakes to slow down. Some people coast and use their brakes to stop. Big difference. I would also caution anyone to use things like "brake dust" to quantify...

    Towed with 3500 -6.4 Hemi.

I don't do trailer tires any more. AT ALL. My TT now wears Michelin LTX 16" E-Rated tires and they are great. Better weight capacity, better speed rating, MODERN design, and better reliability. Only thing not to like is the price, but the peace of mind is well worth what they cost.

    Brake pads

I've never done better than OEM. Not the value line, mind you, but the original equipment pads. My last truck had over 120k on the originals. I replaced with OEM and never even had to turn the rotors.

    2017 3/4-Ton Work Truck Challenge

It's actually the 6R100, but the gear ratios are the same. It's a beefed up 6R80 to work with the 6.2. I've been monitoring the Ford boards pretty closely and there has been very little said about the "Torqshift-G", so I'm sure it's a great little tranny.
