Thanks, not causing issues other than not reving high enough on start up but what I've read about TIPM issues is crazy like windows operating on their own, can't shut wipers off, fuel pump keeps going even after the engine is turned off. It's moot now as I paid for a new harness and PCM but the...
I'm just wondering how a lifetime warranty can not be still valid. So long as you have proof of purchase and the contract of what's covered there should be no issues. Of course proper maintenance is a big part of being coverage.
Hey Jeffery C, sounds like you did great with yours. I don't have the max I have Added Care Plus. 800 items covered. I actually had 3 Chrysler products 08 Patriot, 15 Compass, 15 Ram. The Patriot came with a lifetime power train and I ended up getting a new tranny and a new motor at 248k miles...
No it's not flood damage. The vehicle has never been anywhere near a flood or anything like one. What they're calling corrosion is probably more likely oxidation where the wiring harness meets the PCM. A poorly designed connector.
I've owned an 08 Patriot, a 15 Compass, and currently own a 15 Ram 1500 RCSB 5.7 4x4. I've gotten 2 new engines and a transmission out of Chrysler for each of the jeeps under warranty. The Patriot jad 248k when the 2.4 let go and the compass had about 165k when she got an internal engine block...

Hi All, just wondering if anyone else has been denied warranty coverage because the issue was a "corrosion" issue? My 15 1500 has corrosion on the wiring harness and the PCM where they meet. Chrysler says the wont cover anything that is caused by corrosion. The contract clearly states "all...
Anyone else ever have this problem. When the sun beats down on my stock bed rail caps one of them more than the other will buckle in the middle and pull up away from the body. I checked underneath and all the connectors seem to be intact. Thanks
I will say if you can do it and you're not worried about what may come it might be a good time to buy. Look for deals coming up. Back in 08 I got a great deal on a Jeep. And that was right after the market crash.
I like my ram but no one has a better riding truck than Chevy. I had an 02 Silverado 4x2 which road like a caddy. They still do. a buddy of mine took me out for a ride in his new one and that thing road like a dream. I'm keeping my ram of course. But it gives more of a truck ride as does Ford.
Oh yeah I effn hate the horn in my 15 1500. You press the horn and there's a brief delay before it sounds. It's a little bit of a safety hazard imo. Plus it makes you sound pissed off when you're only trying to give somebody a little toot. I believe it's because it's a digital signal as opposed...
Yeah I'm thinking my mechanic just threw it up on the lift took a pair of side cutters and tapped the little lever on the back of the wheel back into place maybe sprayed the shit out of it with lubrication and worked it a few times. Or something along those lines.
I don't know. I used my brake all the time and it happened to me. But my truck would sometimes sit for a week because I use a commuter. But I took it to my mechanic and he fixed it for $75.
Same here...for a month when I first got it I was grasping at air trying to put it into drive. Plus the electronic (instead of mechanical) trany/brake safety feature sometimes gets a little stuck in no mans land for a second.
Ok this one definitely bears asking a few questions. First - is it a misprint? If not, is it the original powertrain? I sure hope so. What do you use for oil?
Thanks,
Joe
