    I recently towed my 10,500 lb 26' toy hauler 1900 mile round trip from WA to Moab UT and back, and I had to fill the DEF tank twice. I filled it at 1/4 tank or a little less, but it sure seemed like it used a lot of DEF, More than I expected. The truck averaged 11 mpg for the trip.

    Thanks, that's good to know! The 2015 2500 I traded in only had 28,000 miles on it, so I obviously don't put a lot of miles on my truck, maybe 5,000 a year, so I really don't want to be fighting outdated DEF issues all the time!

    6.4 Puffing Blue Smoke at Startup

    I’ve always figured something is “normal” if it does it form day one, but if it changes from new, then it’s a degradation of some part of the system and/or parts that my be typical, but not “normal”, or acceptable on a well maintained engine with just over 20,000 miles on it.
