That is correct. We do not over-power our LED bulbs like many companies do. We had custom drivers made for these bulbs to reduce the power levels. We were measuring operating temps in the 150C range with a 20C ambient on some "high power" led bulbs on the market which is a quick way to get to... -

This kit is a solid upgrade over the stock headlights. You do not need to modify the grille. It just needs to be removed before you can access the headlight housings. It does not need to be cut or anything like that. -

Usually this is a result of either: A) Some HID bulbs have quality control issues where the amount of mercury or gas pressure inside the bulb is not consistent between bulbs. This can make the HID bulb very hard to start or ignite. This puts excess strain on the ballast as well. Some ballasts... -
