Yeah, I really don't want to part it out. I know I could probably get more money out of it that way in the ling run but the time and effort aren't worth it to me.
Here are all the motor parts that I had collected for doing a refresh of the engine. NOT a rebuild! All parts are included with the truck and I will not sell separately.
All parts listed are new and still in the original box except the timing set, I threw the box out when I was moving to fit...
Time to sell my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L hemi. This has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Never left me stranded and always up to the task. I've owned this truck since April of 2008 and am the 2nd owner (to my knowledge). I bought the truck from a Dodge dealer in San Diego with...
Yeah, my rear seat bottoms don't seem to fold as much with the 2012 seats but they do stay in place when they are up. The only annoying thing about this is the cargo tray doesn't stay up by itself very well now. I don't have to use it too often so haven't worried about it too much yet.
This is a different issue then what you PM'd me about. With the way I had to cut the retaining hooks on the back of my seats, the seat back still fall forward when I lift the seat bottoms. I just hold the seat back with my free hand until the bottom is all the way up and the retaining hooks...
On the hemi engines, I've changed out the EGR at about 30k miles regularly. Doesn't matter where they come from, they tend to go bad regardless. Autozone has a lifetime warranty on those as well so why not?
I'd say the module since that is the easiest thing to get to and change right now. Hit up the junk yard and find one. I don't think they go bad often but it's certainly worth a shot. And you could probably grab the motors from the donor truck while you are at it.
Sounds like possibly a motor or 2 might not be working. You should be able to get to the motors without having to pull the dash again, might just be a little tight. The defrost one is closest to the driver side.
If you have a mega cab, try to find a set from a mega cab.
If you have a quad cab, like mine, then you can use either quad or crew cab seats but not mega cab seats.
The front seats are all the same otherwise.
Yes, get the 4th gen seats. WAY more comfortable for long drives. Easy enough swap too.

From the sounddeadenershowdown site I linked, to dampen and reduce resonance:
The rule of thumb is: enough CLD Tile to cover 25% of the surface distributed over the central 50%-75% of the panel.
So, that is why I only used 6 squares on the rear half and 3 on the front half of the roof when I...
So far, I've spent $241 on sound deadening materials for the truck. That has been enough material to do all 4 doors and the roof and i have material left over still. Probably enough to do the back wall. I used Onyx GMat vibration damper and Noico sound deadener/insulation. All from Amazon. I...
Agreed after doing the roof panel in my truck yesterday and comparing it to today. Much cooler. Your threads on installing the sound deadener and insulation is what got me going on doing mine.
I found this site informative and helpful when I started researching sound deadening the interior.

They also have a recommended materials list with quantities required. I used that as a guide for how much product to order and picked my own materials...
Easy enough to layer the vibration damper and then the sound deadener/insulation like I did. Why do you need an all in one? Not really much less work and it wouldn't save any room really.
Just checked the truck and it is noticeably cooler inside as compared to yesterday. Similar weather too. Still hot but not near as bad as it was. I'm thinking about dropping the headliner again to apply a second layer of the Noico sound deadener/insulation to just the recessed "pockets" where...
