Cruiser RV Viewfinder Signature. 32' tip to tail. Running an EAZ-lift WHD with sway control. 6500 lbs dry, about 700lbs tongue weight.- Pickles

It's not a weight problem (no bounce on the tail), it's a sway problem. It's 32ft long and the wind just grabs it and whips my tail end around. Not sure if it's the 1500's non-traditional coil spring rear suspension or what.- Pickles

Well, as I know no one with a welding rig, and have zero welding experience myself, didn't seem like a great idea to "learn on the job". Also, with as much as I did, I wonder if the damn thing wasn't cross-threaded from the factory. Cross-thread + loctite = I was screwed before I even knew it...- Pickles

This finally happened a few weeks ago to my truck. I think "no big deal", I'll just treat myself to an upgrade with a nice pair of shorty headers, spend a Saturday with a few beers and greasy hands. Friday morning I get my truck in the garage. Get the manifolds off fine - I have 4 (out of 17)...- Pickles

Lots of great info here...... Any idea on how shorty headers will react? Am I facing the same issue down the road (warping) and just spending 4x as much on shorties? No machinists close to me, and those that are within driving distance are quoting way too long for my truck to be out of commission.- Pickles

UConnect 5.0 Glitchy on Startup - Won't boot....sometimes
Hey kids, Odd little bug here. Every now and again (no rhyme or reason), my radio simply won't boot. I see the screen power up, sometimes it will get to the ram logo screen (sometimes not), but it simply won't boot. I can usually get it to boot after shutting down the truck and letting it sit...- Pickles

Computer says overheated and refuses to start - Double-ewe-tee-eff
Only code was U0100 - ECM disconnect. That happened when I unplugged the battery - there were no codes thrown prior to that (or when the truck was pissing itself)- Pickles

It's 4 months old with a little over 9K miles. If it acts up again in any way off to the dealer I go. The problem is that, right now, there is no problem.:crazy:- Pickles

So over the weekend I went out to buy a new phone - got to the place, purchase the phone, and when I try to start the rig up it shows my temp needle all the way in the red, refuses to even attempt to turn over, and gives two messages in EVIC - 1) Motor is too hot and 2) that I need to service...- Pickles

You do realize that your 8sp+3.21 combo actually has a lower 1st and 2nd gear ratio than the old 6sp+3.92 1st gear ratio, right? I'm thinking it's all in your head - either that or you like to chirp too much and the traction control systems are crimping your style.- Pickles

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?
Installed Bilstein 4600 hd shocks for towing - made the ride significantly better, and seems to stay more well plants in corners. Very worthy upgrade to this rig.- Pickles

'15 Ram 1500 2wd Front shock replacement
SOLVED - So I just found this video showing a lift install on a 4g 2wd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkNFV4Bqv-0 As you can see in there, the shock just comes right out. Hopefully this find also helps some other poor 2wd schmuck who wants to fiddle with his man-toy.
