What did you do to your Gen3 today?
Hub assembly, 209$ at AutoZone with 3 year warranty. I could have pressed in a new bearing but I only do the ones without ABS tone ring because they always seem to tear apart pressing out the old one. For the other side I would be doing that since I only have 2WABS which does not have a sensor...- sylver91

Wheel bearing took a dump so decided to change it at work today. In case you guys don't already know, there is a torque sequence to properly set in the bearings and prevent premature failure. I know on GM trucks I can set the threshold of the TPMS and program the module for different pressures using our Snap-On scanner, I just did one today and others before. Not sure about Dodge trucks, haven't had an opportunity to test it yet. Lots of 3/4 and 1 ton trucks never run full load so...- sylver91

Rebuild time I would say is close to 6-7 hours, so close to 700$ in labor. The rest is cost in parts and because its the anti-slip rear its even more onto that. So 1700$ for a rebuild kits sounds kinda high, I know Rock Auto has bearing/seal kits for 300$ and a ring kit for 400$. You may be... -

Its because the inner tie rods may end up unequal length when you install. So you would trim one side to match the length on the other side. But seriously don't do it, I can align them trucks just fine and still center the steering. You just create more work to adjust because now there is a... -

Only downfall I found with that jack was the casters gave out after a year. But then again we use floor jacks constantly at work and most of the time not for its intended purpose.- sylver91

Depending on the height of the lift, you'll need the longer trailing arms and track bar to keep that axle in line. Right now it looks like its tilted the wrong way back, just look at that bump stop. -
Engine will not Start
Lol try explaining that to customers who try their own diagnosis. All they do for me is add extra work to fix what they did. I'm all for people fixing their own cars, just remember they ain't building them like they used too. -
Solid axle upper ball joints?
The tires would typically wear much faster then the CV would. Its normal to have slight camber in these trucks but - 1.75 is a tad too much. If you got closer to +/- 0.5 a deg you'd be safe depending on the specs. If the negative is cause of the sloppy ball joint I'd just stick with a standard... -

Solid axle upper ball joints?
If you need an alignment for camber you need the adjustable/offset ball joints. Otherwise standard ball joints will be just fine.
