Slip plate the hitch and spray it inside the receiver as well. I spray it on my lawn mower deck as well and the grass doesn't stick to it. You can get spray can or regular cans of it and brush it on I use the gallon can and get a narrow paint roller and put it on that way.
A 440 would fit and the hood would still close. That is what I would do with it along with a repaint in the original color. I have a 34 Plymouth suicide rear doors with 440 automatic and Dana 60.
I haul cars and this much I can tell you, they are not going to leave your truck in the way nor will they push it off the rail car. Not to mention it comes with 2 fobs. The biggest part but not aof them are in foreign trade zones so trespass and theft are considered federal crimes. I don't think...
This type of problem is caused by the ball not being tight as can be seen by the wear pattern visible on the part of the hitch you can see the very bottom of it shows a shoulder where the shaft of the ball worked back and forth.

I put a 2000 poud pallet of pellets in the bed of my 1500 and another 2000 pound pallet on a trailer behind me and put it in the wind. I do run 10 ply tires. I also pull a trailer with 8 2000 lb round bales of hay it doesn't seem to bother it. It puts my brother in law 3/4 ton Chevy to shame...
Glad you finally figured it out. I used to tell my neighbor every time time he started with that after all these years 90 % of them ford trucks are still on the road I'd say yap the other 10% made it home, his was in the 90% I drug him home a lot with my dodge trucks he finally got smart and got...

You are correct they should not be loose they lock the adjustment in place. Sorry I can't answer your second question . I have been following your build on your 68 and you are doing a super job.

I haul new from the plant where they build the things. A lot of the parts come from outside vendors shipped in bulk in containers and coated with a rust preventative that they blast off so they can be sure to get proper torque on the bolts and they aren't all that worried about re-coating...
I don't understand all of the comments about that just being normal with big cube motors. My younger days of bored and stroked 440 motors in my 65 sportfury and my 70 440 pickup did not and do not have the tick then or now although I have put a 12v in the pickup

To answer your question I weighed a complete 6.4 for shipment to my brother over seas dry weight was 500.6 lbs on certified digital scale. I wanted to be sure I was not being overcharged.

I have a hemi pickup and diesel pickup as well as the kenworth Mobil in all of them as well as Baldwin filters on them. Baldwin makes most of the high end filters for most applications with just different colors of paint and names.

I use Mobil delvac in my pickup as well as my over the road class 8 truck. As long as it meets or exceeds the manufacturer spec they will not deny warranty repair. I use it in my hemi as well as my 12 valve first gen cummins which has 899000 miles on it, my over the road truck has 1.5 million...
Sounds like the cable to the transmission pressure valve is not adjusted properly, it's one of the cables that had to remove when you changed your tps sensor
Unless the factory has changed how they do things they quit putting drain plugs in the converter. Taking the pan off will not drain the converter no matter how long it sits that way. If you do have converter drain back then you have problems.
Crank position sensor. I'd tell him to fix it before I would buy it. Wouldn't cost him that much if that's all that's wrong with it, other wise I'd pass on it.
