Seat took a bite out of my foot. Yikes! Or a cautionary tale of wet feet and Ram All Weather Mats

It's possible but I don't think so. Maybe I'll scrub them down with some dish soap to cut through anything that might be on them just to be safe. My front mats aren't as slick although slicker than I'd expect for an all weather mat, but I've never actually slipped on them. The have a little...

Seat took a bite out of my foot. Yikes! Or a cautionary tale of wet feet and Ram All Weather Mats

These are different than the mats for the new body style. Looks like you have a HD so you actually still have the 4th gen cab which means 4th gen mats. Maybe the 4th gen mats were better. The new body style 5th gens don't have a hump in the floor, it's completely flat. The pattern on your mats...

Seat took a bite out of my foot. Yikes! Or a cautionary tale of wet feet and Ram All Weather Mats

I had WeatherTech mats in the Jeep I had before my last truck. They were also slick but not as bad as the Ram mats. Tried the Husky liners for my last truck because they were cheaper and didn't seem to be as slick. Loved those things until I sold the truck, never had an issue with them. Since...

    Anyone use these.... Scrubblades???

Agreed, these are the best. A little more expensive up front but in my experience last 4-5 times as long. FL is hard on wipers with all the sand flying around. Before I switched to these, I'd get 2-3 months out of a set of blades. Icons last a year or more.

Seat took a bite out of my foot. Yikes! Or a cautionary tale of wet feet and Ram All Weather Mats

Y'all be careful with the Ram all weather mats. Started raining yesterday so I climbed in the back seat to put my daughter in her car seat out of the rain. Wet foot slipped on the all weather mat and my foot slammed into the seat frame. Cut me so bad I ended up with 3 stitches ... doc said I...

What are people getting as a percentage off MSRP?

Around 21.5% for me, or a little over $12,200

Should I buy a new Ram?

Outside of the PW, it should. Just check your pin weights and make sure you're within your capacities. The real answer comes down to the weights on our trailer and the ratings on the truck.

Should I buy a new Ram?

Keep in mind the substantially reduced cargo capacity and towing capacity of a Power Wagon if you want to pull a 5er. Last I checked, a lot of the 1500s had higher cargo and tow ratings than Power Wagons. I think 2 big factors there is the much softer suspension on a PW and pretty sure the come...

    2019 Rebel OTD price

I bought mine end of June. Sticker was 57150, agreed price was around 44900. Don't remember after TTL but that varies anyway based on your state licencing fees and local tax rates. Look for numbers before TTL so everybody is on an even playing field. Depending on your area, you should be able to...

    285/60r20 to 295/60r20

Holy zombie thread lol. I ended up with the Pro Comps in 295/60. They were great tires. I put around 25k on them before I ended up trading the truck. I never recalibrated the speedo and everything worked out fine. Apparently there's a 10% margin of error in the factory speedo calibration anyway...

    Is this a good deal

Terrible deal, especially for hail damage. A good deal on that truck, you're in the 31-32 range because of the damage. If you told them you're about to run out of rental, they're probably strong arming you thinking you have to have something now. If you're not getting 20% off sticker for an...

    4x4 Questions

Did not know this and the manual didn't make it very clear. Gonna have to try it out now! Still a bummer on hill descent control though.

    4x4 Questions

4 high is on the fly, 4 low I think you have to shift into neutral for. And from my understanding the locking diff and hill descent control can only be engaged in 4 low. Someone correct me if I read the manual wrong. Think having the option for hill descent control or locking diff in 2 or 4 high...

    87 or 89 octane

Hmm. Y'all got me thinking. I never noticed a difference on my 6.4L but I've never actually tried a tank in the 5.7. Maybe I'll run a few tanks through the 5.7 and see what I think. If it changes anything, I'll switch. If I don't notice a difference, 87 it is for me.

    6.4 unusual long cranking

Weak battery maybe? Just a thought. When I had a 6.4L, it always turned over quickly .... until the battery started going. Then there would be occasional long cranks, until one day I got a check engine light at the gas pump. When I stopped by the auto parts store to get it read, they said...

    87 or 89 octane

For 2014, the manual said only 89. In 2015, they revised it to say the same thing the 5.7 says: 89 recommended, 87 acceptable. Not sure if they changed it again later, but I never had any problems running 87 in mine. In FL, 87 is the lowest grade. When we went north a few times, I saw 85 as low...

    87 or 89 octane

I ran 87 for 67k miles in my 15 6.4L and I've run nothing but 87 in my 19 5.7L (only about 1200 miles so far). No problems with it in either truck so for the ~$.30/gal difference in my area, I stick with 87. The price difference works out to about $10/tank, which isn't much but it adds up over...

    Whistle after shutting ignition off.

Had an '05 Expedition that did something similar. You could hear it yodeling from a couple hundred feet away. Service department always said it was something with the A/C depressurizing or something like that but they never could fix it. Luckily it didn't yodel the day we traded it after only 2...

    Etorque or No?

I've heard the etorque trucks don't have tether points for car seats behind the passenger side rear seat. This may not be a big deal to you, but if you have or might have need for more than one car seat, this could be a deal breaker on the etorque trucks. I guess the battery pack is behind that...

What did you pay for your '19 Rebel?

    Rok Block?

Update: I contacted the company and they put one up on Amazon for me to buy. They would only do it after I left them a review and weirdly offered me a credit if I left another review. Something seemed odd about it, not sure why they were fishing for reviews. But I really liked the product on my...

What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

Got my bed cover installed. BAK Revolver X4. Also installed a tailgate seal kit and a Rok Block.

    Rok Block?

I saw a bunch of seal kits, but they aren't the same. They go in the gap, still allowing things to fall down in, versus over the gap preventing things from falling in. I contacted the manufacturer directly and seems like they might still have some so trying to get one.

Traded in the Texas Silver Edition 1500 for the Rebel this weekend....

If you're still looking, I had a Bak Revolver X2 on my 15 2500. Had a couple cosmetic issues on it that were rectified under warranty. I just ordered a Revolver X4 for my new Rebel. Only difference between the 2 is the X4 is a matte finish. I got the hook up from tonneaufactoryoutlet.com for...

    Rok Block?

Anyone know if this product is still available somewhere? I had it on my last truck and was pretty happy with how it kept crap from falling down between the tailgate and bed. Seems like it's unavailable online right now though. Was really hoping to stick another one on the new truck when I seal...
