Eco diesel just blew up at 48k miles

This might not be an option if it were me I'd at least consider it. Ask the dealership to let you trade in the truck. Their cost to fix the motor will be less than 11k. They may not give it to you but ask what their true cost is to fix the motor then have that adjusted off from the trade in...

Shady business from the service advisor

I went off road, just a muddy field and got stuck and when I was getting pulled out it bent the track bar. Took it to the dealership because I had an appt for something on going non related ABS issue so I had them take a look at the track bar and give me a quote. They called and said the front...

    Previous Rental Trucks

There are a lot of people driving rentals and they don't even know it. It's really no different than buying any used truck unless it's from someone you know and know how they took care of it.

    V6 with 35" or 37" tires

Just an update. I currently have 35's with the hemi and 3:21 gears and no complaints. Also I do not want 37's. The truck I was looking at was already built and it had 35's with the V6, 3:55 gears and the 8 speed trans. It was a sharp truck at a decent price I probably would have paid but it...

    V6 with 35" or 37" tires

Anyone running this set up? I found a truck I am interested in but it's about an hour away so not real easy to run over and test drive. Before I take the time I'd like to hear opinions on guys running this set up. I currently have a hemi and 35" with 3:21 gears and have no complaints. I know...

    Looking to Trade up

Am I understand this correctly? Is it a 3 year , 15k mile per year lease and you maxed out your mileage after give or take one year?

    Sirius XM class action lawsuit

Funny this popped up because about 45 mins ago I got a email with a 2 month free subscription offer because my truck was at the dealership for a few days last week. No credit card or info required. They sent a "refresh" to my radio and boom! XM radio for 2 months. I expect them to continue...

Service ABS system, traction control, trailer break system etc.

Yeah tell me about it. F'kn stupid. My lights were on all the time, I drove 2 months with them on and a non working abs/4x4 system while I decided what to do.

Service ABS system, traction control, trailer break system etc.

I do not know if it would be covered under warranty, mine was just out of warranty. The module comes in two parts that are sandwiched together. To replace both pieces plus both rear wheel speed sensors it was $2,000. I had a dealership quote me at $2,400 and got a 2nd opinion, both...

Service ABS system, traction control, trailer break system etc.

Just had the dealer replace the ABS module and both rear speed sensors. Not cheap but I had the same issue that you do except the ABS, traction control, and service 4x4 system lights were on my dash all the time. Also no cruise control. It's only been 1 week but everything is good now.

    Spacers or bilsteins

A quick update though since my post on July 25. He had a wheel bearing go out. Doubtful that it has anything to do with his level though.

Our New 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn

Had a 2019 big horn over the weekend while my 14 was at the dealership. Huge improvement in creature comforts, plushness and overall drivablility. It rides like a car vs the stiffer ride from the Bil's on my truck. I really like the 19's now that I've driven one for a few days. Great...

Just install my bilstein 5100s butttt

Glad to hear you fixed it before you had the blow out. Mine were installed by a shop where I explained the importance of this issue. They still installed them wrong. I noticed a rattle right away and got it back to the shop a couple days later only to have the owner say it was installed...

High quality tires for driving on construction sites?

I have been happy with Ridge Grapplers. Only had one screw stuck in the deepest part of the tread but it did not puncture through. I travel a lot of gravel roads and you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at the tire. No chips taken out, still look like road tires but they do pick up and...

    Serviceights

Could be rear wheel speed sensors, cheap fix but it didn't fix mine. Or it could be what I have going on... Took it to the dealership and they replaced the outer half of the ABS control module, $780.00. Didn't fix it. Came back and said they needed to replace the half of the module that is...

    Spacers or bilsteins

I have had the bils set at 2.1 and my buddy did the spacer level about the same time 2 years ago. No complaints on ride form either. I have about 10k more miles than he does. I had to replace both lower ball joints 6 months ago and right side upper ball joint and UCA a few months ago and now...

Ram Dealers begging for positive ratings?

A few years ago when I was in for broken manifold bolts which was covered under warranty the service manager actually called me to ask if I'd fill out the survey and give it all 10's. They did fix the bolts but I had to take it back twice and basically explain it to them. Recently I was back...

Stuck in park, no brake lights.

The brake pedal arm that touches the sensor piston does move but doesn't seem adjustable. The sensor piston is always in contact with the pedal arm. The sensor locks into a piece of metal with a quarter turn but that piece of metal is not adjustable. The brake pedal pushes into a piston that...

Stuck in park, no brake lights.

Well.... it worked for 11 days and happened again this morning. I removed the brake light switch and reinstalled, let the truck set for 30 minutes went back out and everything worked. Drove it about 15 miles and the parking brake light popped up and that's when I know that I'm going to have...

    ABS light/code

Yeah and they tried to completely bend me over. They charged me $780 to replace half of the ABS control module, told me it was fixed and ready to be picked up only to get to the dealership within 30 mins and have them say they found other problems. They came back with an additional quote of...
