Sorry Damian, I can’t help you. BUT I am surprised nobody has responded at all to your message.
My fingers are crossed people chyme in and help you out sooner than later.
Your ride will be a lot smoother when you’re not towing if you keep the tire pressure under 40.
I had a trailer a lil heavier than yours and would air my tires up to 70psi when towing with my 1500.
Your not imagining the mpg drop. The E rated tires are a lot heavier than C or P rated tires...
Mine is from the 2”
I’m just guessing, but I would think the thread count would be the same between the two?!?
Do they make up for the longer shock needed some other way, as in the ends and not the shock body itself? I have no clue???
I should probably give you a more accurate shock count by...
You’ll love the Rancho 9000’s. The difference between the “1” setting and the “9” setting is HUGE! You’ll appreciate the stiffer setting when towing or have weight in the bed and the softer setting when cruising around town. That’s something you can’t get with Bills.
Mine is going in next week for manifold bolt. Left side was around 60k miles. Right side now at 130k.
I wonder if the bolts are more likely to break in the colder winter months. I know my two breaks did.
100% human error.
1. Could not find a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 in the computer. Used 2009 specs. Because of the name change that happened in 2010, computer has a 2012 listed under Ram 1500, not Dodge Ram 1500.
That was a problem with multiple alignment shops. They’d align it to the older truck...
Great job!
I remember just a few years ago people on the forum asking about doing this. Everyone said it can’t be done, or it would be cheaper to just buy a truck with the 8speed in it.
Yes, I received a copy of the paperwork when I purchased the truck. Received a card and more paperwork in the mail a few weeks after I bought it.
I agree, it cannot be legal for them to cancel a warranty without cause.
I am not sure what’s going on with the Max Care Warranty people, but I’ve been having nothing but problems. This all started from me trying to update my address on the website, and then over the phone because the website said it could not be be found.
I’ve been trying for almost 8 months for...
Yes, you’ll need to compress both sides of the coil.
I suppose you could do it the way. I’m not sure?!?!
I wonder if you can get it clamped onto the coil good enough by hand, if it would eliminate the need to remove tierod and UCA from the Knucle??
You now have more questions than the original...
I’ve read similar posts on other forums about doing that to adjust the preload. I was worried about damaging the preload rings on my $2k shocks. Even though it would only be a cosmetic/visual, I didn’t want to try it.
BUT I was able to adjust them while they were on the truck! I used...
I think most of us are talking about engine oil temps, while you seem to be more talking about trans temps.
These are all common knowledge statements, but they need to be said every now and again……
The type of trailer someone is towing will make a difference in temps. If you’re towing a...
Check the “4th Gen DIY” section on the forum.
Longhorn1500 installed a oil cooler on his truck. He recently went on a camping trip and it sounds like he really tested out how good it keeps his oil temps in check.
I also am in need of a oil cooler. I don’t know what Ram was thinking having a...
I love mine! I haven’t messed with my settings in probably a year. I’ll go look to see what my high speed/low speed are set at when I get a chance
After a month or so, my coils “settled” a bit. I was able to adjust the preload on the coilovers without taking them off using a coil spring...
