    I have it wired to a relay so it turns off when my truck is on, and only turns on when my truck is off.

    It's not on while driving. It only comes on when the truck is off and parked. This is nothing more than a glorified security alarm light.

    Here's a "mod" I've wanted to do for 40 years now. I used a relay to make it power off when my truck is on and it powers on when my truck is off. I don't drive with the flashing red light.     The Tazer DT (used for 5th Gen) does not plug into the OBD port like the older models did. I have the Tazer and use many of the features, but really it's just a matter of looking at the laundry list of options and seeing which ones would work well for your needs...
