    I agree the projector lights are not as good as billed. CAI sounds great. New headers make a huge differance as do high flow exhaust. New shocks and leafs really tightEn thE ride. Instead of a DIN I went with the pioneer single with pop up screen. So far so good.

    186K miles $3500 deal or no deal?

    Sounds like a decent deal. Cummins is great, front end rot and sag could be a prob. Is the truck in a salty area? Brakes and rear leafs OK? The plastic interior is pretty cheap as OE but fairly painless to fix up. Bottom of doors and rocker panels almost always rot.

    Thanks. Truck is getting a final de dinging and paint. I should have it back mid week and can start removing stuff for the carpet. Shes looking and acting better than new. Ill post the results with the knob and hopefully upload afew pics ( not all that computer savy).

    Some of the clips need to be pinched and hit to remove. I have repaired a few with epoxy but sometimes they are to far gone (brittle). 2 sided 3M tape, sometimes in layers is a quick fix. Im not sure how long mine will last.

    Carpet confusion

    Has anyone replaced the OE carpet? I have a 1997 /1500 and want to upgrade the old rug. The tan/biege is starting to look gray with rust stains at the seat supports. There seems to be many of choices out there with a range of prices. I cant find any good overall reviews.

    I just bought one. Looks good ( except its black no int color) and practical, no spilled coffee. Only poblem is lid on console will not shut. I was told to shim the latch but have yet to explore finding a way to get inside for access. Any ideas
