Buying used 2019 Ram 1500 lifted , MPG, help

Well what mpg is she wanting? With lift and bigger tires. I would expect 14-16mpg city/mixed. Highway 2-3mpg more than city. This also depends on gear ratio in truck. My 1500 with 3.92 gear and stock size all terrains nets 16 mixed and 20 on long highway runs.

There should be a vent line somewhere for the tank. Check to be sure it is not plugged up.

    Oil leak Front Right Fender

I don't see why being a Canada truck is no warranty. My buddy bought a used Canada Ford superduty diesel. The warranty was honored with no problem. This truck should be covered.

2021 Ram 1500 Limited 3.92 gears change to road gears

I have a 2020 Ram with the 3.92 gears 4x4 and more aggressive falken at3w tires stock size. We drove it to NC from OH for vacay. It netted 20mpg. Not bad at all really. Around home which is a lot of short trips. It is anywhere from 12-13mpg winter. And 14-16mpg summer. Truck has 7600 miles...

    disadvantages of leasing a truck?

I think the disconnect here is US rates vs Canada. On Ram US site they don't even list a 5 year lease. Longest it goes is 4 years. When selecting a 4 year the payment goes up by 60-80dollars over the 36 month lease. If you were to finance 8 years in US the rate would not be good. Most...

    disadvantages of leasing a truck?

Well this debate is as bad as the diesel vs. Gas debates. It all boils down to preference and what in the end cost you less. At least that's the way I would do it. I would not lease a truck for 800 a month if I could buy it for 600 a month. I damn sure would not finance one for 8 years. 7...

    21' RAM 2500 Gasser

If you are towing a travel trailer I would not put a level kit on it. Put the bigger tires on it and see if you like the look. They will fill the wheel well better. I suspect you will like it just fine. Truck has a rake to compensate for the weight of a trailer. What is the point in...

    disadvantages of leasing a truck?

That is incorrect. It was a 50k vehicle. He pays 350 a month. He only pays 13,650 over the course of 39 months. So..... by my math. He could do 3.5 leases to come to 47,775. Still not 50k. He is always into a new vehicle with no money. Leasing is not for everyone but works if you play...

    2019 Brake controller

This was an issue back in 2015 as well. Back then they came out with a flash for the computer to correct it. I ran a prodigy for awhile due to the factory controller not being up to snuff. See what the dealer has to say. They will probably look at you like your hair is on fire. At least you...

Over beaten oil related question for the 6.4. Amsoil.

I ran the amsoil and filter in my 2015 6.4 I had. I never had any bad knocking noise. I had the usual valve clatter when starting the truck after it had sat for an hour or so after it was already warm which was weird. It did that with the oem oil and the amsoil. The smoking at startup thing...

    2016 Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi Towing

Here is a link to my report. I no longer own this truck. Traded to a Ford 6.2l 4.30 geared truck. My real world comparison between these two trucks pulling same camper. The Ford is better. The new Ram 6.4 with 8 speed looks to be a winner. My report is pretty much same exact setup you are...

    2019 2500 6.4 or 2018 6.4?

8 speed 2019 all the way with 4.10 gears. I no longer own my Ram due to the dismal gearing of the 66rfe. If I stuck it out and still had my 2015 it would be leaving as soon as I could order the 2019 with 8speed. I had a 6.4 with 4.10 gears.

Ford gets new 7.3 Gasser...will Ram respond?

You can get a 48gal tank in the cclb Fords. It's very nice indeed. I think the gas engine competition is back on and it is great! I wonder if the engineers realize that they are close to pretty much tapping out all they can get from the diesel market. So now it's time to concentrate on the...

Confirmed 1,000 lb-ft, 8 speed gas, new updates

This precisely why I traded to a different truck. I thought I was a patient man. You sir are a saint. The new 8 speed will no doubt be great for the 6.4. I am happy Ram has done this. Almost tempting to give Ram another try. Meanwhile I will enjoy what I have now. Good luck with your new...

2500 6.4 Liter Rear End Whine

I agree with this. I dropped my truck off at night to my dealer explained what concerns I had on night drop envelope. Dealer called me later the next day and said tech took truck for a spin heard the whining noise and parts were on order, full rebuild. They had the truck for about a week I...

    10K pounds with 6-4 hemi Part 2

Good to hear. I am curious do you use tow/haul mode. Whenever I used tow haul truck did not like to use 5th very much at all. And if it did it was never there long. Hope it performs well for you when you get her all loaded up. Congrats on the new camper! They rock.

    10K pounds with the 6.4 2500

Thanks! The 4.30 automatically gives you a Electric selectable locking differential. For 390 bucks its a no brainer. I usually let the truck do its thing. Only used the locker a couple times so far to see what it did. Usually the traction control does good to limit wheel slip like a limited...

    10K pounds with the 6.4 2500

I ended up ordering a 2017 Ford F250 CCLB XLT 6.2 V8 4.30 gears. It was the truck i was going to order in 2015 when i bought the Ram. Bought the Ram because it was available and price was right. Its a very nice truck as was the Ram but the Ram and I just didnt blend well.

    10K pounds with the 6.4 2500

Heater I tow a Jayco Eagle HT 324bhts TT. 8900 dry 10k loaded. Pretty much same setup you are looking at. I towed down to Tennesse from NW ohio last year. I had a 2015 ccsb 4x4 with 6.4 and 4.10 gears. All stock truck. In tow haul truck didnt like 5th gear at all it would bearly hit it...

    Those who've traded

I can say I have had pleasant dealings with all the big 3 dealerships. Not one questioned any warranty claims or gave me hassle with service or provided questionable service. Maybe its just me. I think cab removal is still required on the diesels for certain repairs but rare. As the 6.7 was...

    Those who've traded

The real world is quite the opposite. The 6.2 makes slightly less horsepower but its torque which is the same as the 6.4 peaks at 3800rpm. Combine that with the 4.30 gears and superior gearing in the transmission its a winner. The new truck will hit 6th gear and hold it no problem on the...

    Those who've traded

I say gear the truck to 4.56 or Buy a Ford 6.2l with 4.30 gears. I love this Ford transmission. Light years better my friends. And no i am not trolling just giving my honest opinion. I left my Ram 2015 6.4 4.10 gears for the Ford. It pulls our Jayco 324bhts much better. Fuel mileage is the...

    Falken AT3w tires?

Great reports guys. I have asked some other people around town who run them and all seem to like them and noise is subtle even with some miles on them. So it seems as though these tires are the real deal. I have decided to move into another truck so no new tires on this one. New truck should...

another sad, but expected dealer story ram 2500 6.4

I had this very same whining noise from rear issue in my 2015 with 4.10 gears. Dropped it off stating issue. Tech heard noise and they rebuilt entire rear end including gears. So far it's been good. Hope they get it done for you. Mine may have been more noticeable than yours
