5th gen 2500 level by dropping the rear.
I want to level my 2500 4wd by dropping the rear. I pull a light weight 5th wheel designed for half ton, and it barely sags the rear. Occasionally my roof mounted bed lights stay on
I noticed it on my 2020, and one of my doors wasn't fully closed. It takes a pretty good slam to get them to latch completely. Nice tight quiet truck, but it's like shutting the hatch on a submarine. -
Ethanol Free Gas
My Gen III loves pure gasoline. I use it mostly for towing, and I can pull a higher gear if I use pure. I've proved it to my self many times. HELP! New ball joints and tie rods, Drives like crap!

Replace cam as preventative maintenance?
Motor oil analysis is approximately $30 an oil change. Run some good oil, Have it analyzed every other change, and if you start getting metal in your oil re evaluate. Mine is a 2005 so a different animal, but if I had a later motor I would keep an eye on it.- KansasBob

Transmission issue
My 05 started doing it at 40,000, especially in the winter it seemed like. I changed the trans fluid and "filters" last month at 55K and the issue went away. No shaking, just no movement during a cold start.- KansasBob

Am I the only one with warped rear rotors at 14K miles?
As I understand it, it's not actually "warping". If you park your truck with very hot rotors the spot where the pad rests doesn't cool at the same rate as the rest of the rotor, or something like that. The brake pad material that is deposited on the rotor during braking isn't distributed... -

Blew my driveshaft in half
Hilarious! It's not the truck's fault......... It will do what it's built to do all day long. When you build a "Hot Rod" it's always a process of addressing the weakest link to keep it running. 500 Miles of Towing
Wheel base will effect your "sway" with a given trailer. I pulled a 16' Hybrid with a 98 Explorer, and It HAD to have sway control. Over the last 4 years I've pulled a 21' hard side TT with the 05 Ram 1500, and it didn't sway, all the way up to 70MPH with No sway, or weight distribution hitch.- KansasBob

I just finished 1800 miles in a gen III pulling pretty much the same thing. Same motor, and gears, but a 5 speed auto. On a calm day, or just a hint of a tail wind I get 10 MPG indicated. What octane do y'all run?
I mostly tow an RV with my 5.7 third gen, and what I really notice is the Ram pulls much harder on No Alcohol fuel of any kind. Urgent Takata Airbag Recall
I've had them both done. Air bags scare me anyway, but shrapnel bomb air bags are just the worst. I dropped mine off, took the shuttle home, and they picked me up when it was ready. Fairly painless. Hopefully the "new" style have fixed the issue.- KansasBob
