Bilstein 5100 Issue
When I originally did it, I had a similar issue. We ended up cutting the shock to get it out. -

Maybe 15k-20k? Not 100% sure No sir, there is WAY too much stuff in the way to get it out with the tower still attached. I just simply popped the tower loose, moved it aside and the shock will pull right out. -

These shocks are made specifically for this truck, so they should be built to handle it. It's not just road grime. The stabilizer and rear shocks still look good. I believe so. I contacted XDP to find out my next steps and see what I need to do. -

I replaced all 4 shocks and sway bar links on my truck last fall (2013). I used Bilstein 5100s and the beefy BD Sway bar links. They were awesome, I loved the results. Well.. I went today to install a leveling kit I got for Christmas, and both of my front shocks are shot. The both look... -
Cummins swap
If that is including the price of the engine and trans, then that really isn't horrible. You are looking at about $1500-$2000 for the engine and another $2000 for the transmission. Are you doing anything aftermarket? Or is it all stock?- USMC1188

HMMWV wheels on a 2013 ram 2500
Jesus man! 3" Spacers?! That's dangerous. It may look good and all, but that isn't all that safe. Instead of running huge spacers, if you REALLY want to run those wheels, have you thought of grinding down your calipers a little? -

Glad to see you are alright, that is most important. If the deal is good, BUY IT BACK FROM THE INSURANCE! Part it out and make some easy dough and scrap what's left! I wish I did when I totaled out my 05. It had under 100k miles on it, and I could have bought it back for $3,500...- USMC1188

Cummins warm-up time in the Winter
I've gone from anything from run it and be cautious until she warms up, up to 30 minutes. It depends on how much of a hurry I am in. If you plug your truck in on the cold nights, it makes all of it much quicker. Last year, we had one night where it got to -25F with a -35F with windchill...- USMC1188

Ohio Truck Meets Hooters Cincinnati Meet

Switching to 2500 diesel... Questions
Deletes are getting harder and harder to find, and much more expensive. The 6.7 Cummins that can be deleted are 2007.5 to 2012. The mpgs he told you are total crap, don't believe it for a second. Even if he didn't do it on purpose, there's no way. Deleting a truck will help fuel mileage...- USMC1188
