    DPF issue

People swear by the Lucas "Deep Clean" fuel additive. My truck only has 15k on it but the filter seemed to be getting full often. I tried it & it has made a big difference. Winter is over so I will be pulling my 5th wheel often so it should be getting worked enough over the summer months. I...

Using the HD 3500 Auxiliary Switches

WOW! I haven't seen one of those in a long time. I was trying to explain it to my teenage son a few weeks ago. He was nodding his head but I don't think he really understood.

    Joining the HD Family!

Boy they are really cranking those trucks out now. Two months is pretty quick! Mine took just 3 weeks shy of a full year. A lot of after Covid supply chain stuff going on then. I am really happy that you are being rewarded for your hard work! You will love this truck! My advise is DO...

    Sprung a leak

Like most, my dealer is completely worthless! I have been to them multiple times, waited many hours, only to find myself fixing whatever the issue is. On this issue it looks like the seal is not thick enough around the 3rd brake light. With the screws as tight as they will go there still appears...

    Sprung a leak

My 2022 3500 with just 13,000 miles has sprung a leak. It started dripping from the back dome light. Woke up this morning & drove to work (in the rain) & no leaks so far. Could this be due to the temperature swing we've had? We were in the single digits one week now we are up to the mid 40's. I...

Mopar or Shell Rotella oil for a 2022 Cummins?

I can't remember if I responded to you via pm or not. I bought the Banks CAI, intake horn, & boost tubes. It does get up & move better & I gained my mpg back that I lost installing bigger tires. Is it worth all the money I paid for it? Probably not, but their stuff is of high quality. Additional...

    Winter Operating Temps 6.4

My 2016 would do something very similar except it would not get any warmer than about 200-210 which is where these newer gas engines run now. It was almost like the coolant system was larger than the truck actually needed. Once that thermostat opened up you could see the temp drop dramatically...

    2022 Ram 2500 6.4 Wheel well liners?

Yeah it's getting ridiculous! They should only be an option on the Tradesman. Same with floor mats. That is an option at around $350. As you said... as much as these things are now they should come with a whole hell of a lot more! You are wrong on one thing... they are not approaching 80K...

    HD Brakes/ Tailgate Not Locking

This is because having your rotors turned is about the same amount of money as new rotors. Back in the day a guy could get his rotors turned 2 or 3 times before they were too thin. As much as I tow stuff it always seemed like I warped them after I got them turned. Maybe the guy turning them took...

    2016 Ram 3500 Cummins 6.7 dually w/ ISEN tranny -- Oil cooler

Yeah I had one on my last truck 16' Ram 2500 w/6.4. It dropped the temp an easy 25-30 degrees. I wasn't going to do it because my temps stay pretty level on this truck & then I found out that's not the true temp! :favorites68:

    Cummins Fuel Filters

From the couple of test I saw on the internet Wix & Fram synthetic media filters are the best for the money. Now the bottom of the line paper media Fram filters are junk. Those are the ones giving people all of the problems.

    Filter and oil change comparison

Yeah they have crammed a lot into a small space on the Rams. My company runs several Freightliner M2 trucks with the 6.7 Cummins and you can just about walk all the way around the engine. We don't service them but I think to myself this would be so much easier if it were my Ram.

    2016 Ram 3500 Cummins 6.7 dually w/ ISEN tranny -- Oil cooler

I am a gauge watcher & I wasn't too happy when I found out they were not using temp sensors on everything! I know my tranny is fluctuating more than 2 or 3 degrees when I am pulling my 5th wheel. Is this all to just save money? I spent an extra 10k to have a Cummins you would think I could at...

    6.7 engine air filter

I am using the Banks air filter & like it. I did notice an increase in power but I can't tell if the filter had that much to do with it as I bought their whole system & installed it all at once. Boost tubes, air intake horn, & filter. Their air filter system is huge! Takes up every bit of real...

    Lets see your Cummins !

Well like they used to say when I was in high school... if it don't, go chrome it! :laughing1: My last truck had a lot of mat black accessories so I thought I would go in a different direction on this one. Not popular like the "black out" look but I like it, & I am the one making the payments so....

Mopar or Shell Rotella oil for a 2022 Cummins?

I am trying Triax Fleet Supreme. Check them out online. They have the CK-4 rating & a grocery list of other specs. They get great ratings & sound like they have been around for awhile supplying the military & larger fleets, but are now selling to the public. I am going to take a sample from my...

    Tow/Haul

That's kind of what I thought. You guys that have the T/H & EB on while empty... how do you keep yourself from going through the windshield when it downshifts? :D I do however always run the EB on high at all times. I probably should do it like you all, since the brakes on these newer models are...

    Tow/Haul

On my 2016 2500 with the 6.4 T/H locked out 6th gear & gave me firmer up shifts & down shifts. On my 2022 3500 with the Cummins it doesn't lock out 6th but does adjust the shift points. Is that all it does with the CTD?

    Starting a business towing?

My guess is he got scared out of it. And for good reason! There is waaay more to it than most people realize. The only Hot Shot drivers that are doing well are either hooked up with a great broker or have a great customer base to start with.

2023 1500 Towing mirrors to regular mirros

I went the opposite way on a 2016 2500. Didn't think I would need tow mirrors when I bought the truck but ended up getting a 5th wheel. It was just plug & play for me & I don't see why it wouldn't be for you as well.

    Mopar 30k 5th Wheel Hitch

Yeah I love mine! Well... until I have to take it out. It does weigh a lot, but as mentioned they are built like a tank. If you can find a good used one of those, don't hesitate to purchase it.

Towing help for someone brand new to trucks and towing.

Another great forum you should look into is iRV2. Great information on the camping do's & dont's. You mentioned getting groceries after you get all set up. I personally would not like doing it that way. It is usually really hot, & after I set up, I am most likely worn out from the day. Last...
