I have a 2008 Ram 1500 with a 3.7L V6.
I need to charge my Air Conditioner.
Anyone know what the low and high side pressures are supposed to be or have a chart?
The pipe ends on my original muffler were split, I guess so that the clamps would make a better seal. My replacement does not have split ends. Should i cut the sides of the pipe before installing it?
I bought what is supposed to be an exact fit muffler.
It's a BRExhaust Muffler 21568MGF part number 100-7243 from AutoZone.
The outlet side measures 3" the same as the original muffler.
The inlet side of the new muffler is 3.25".
I'm trying to figure out what size is the the inlet side of the...
Any idea where I can get a replacement muffler like this?
I have a 2008 Ram 1500 with a 3.7L V6.
This has a single 3” inlet and outlet and is 26 ¾” long.
According to the dealer, the OEM part number for this is 55366318AC and has been discontinued.
Notice the hanger on this is welded on?
Anyone...
I would replace the alternator if I knew for a fact that it was the source of noise. Problem is, I can't seem to confirm that. I've listened around the engine with a stethoscope which didn't help. The noise is no louder at the alternator than any of the other components.
Just following up to post the fix. I replaced the pressure switch rather than jumping wires and so forth. Replacing the switch was the fix. I also bought some gauges and charged the ac up myself. Works like a champ now.
Thanks to anyone who responds to this!
I have a 2008 1500 w/3.7L V6.
I hear a noise that sounds somewhat metallic.
Likely a bearing noise.
The noise also reminds me of the sound of a field full of crickets at night.
I live out in the country.
Sometimes the noise can be heard at idle, sometimes...
I found a manual in that thread but the it didn't have a vacuum diagram that I could find.
My truck is making a sucking sound like it sounds when you get that last drink of cola thru a soda straw.
No engine performance issue, just that annoying sound. I hear it at idle and it sort of fades aware...
Please help.
I need a vacuum line diagram for my 2008 RAM 1500 > with 3.7L Magnum V6 engine.
I have a weird noise that sounds like a vacuum leak but I'm not sure.
Back in the good days, cars/trucks had vacuum line diagram stickers under the hood.
Apparently, those day are gone :)
Anyone ever use one of these?
I tried this and the coolant got hot an overflowed out of the funnel and went all over the floor. What could I have been doing wrong?
Thanks for your reply.
The high pressure switch connector is a 4 pin connector but only has three wires that connect to it.
I’m tempted to use a paper clip to jump the wires together but I’ afraid if I pick the wrong two wires I may fry something.
Which two wires should I jumper?
I'm working without gauges and an Ohm meter. I know, I need to get the right tools. I had a friend with gauges that added a can of refrigerant after replacing a bad high pressure line.
He first pulled a vacuum on the system and the added a 12oz can of refrigerant. He said the system had enough...
I have a 2008 Dodge RAM 1500 with a 3.7L V6.
My AC clutch is not turning on.
I suspect either the low pressure switch or the high pressure switch.
How can I bypass them as a test to see if the clutch turns on?
I already have the manuals and it does not say how to bypass the pressure switch and the connector in the wiring diagrams does not match mine. Thanks anyway though.
Thanks ahead of time to anyone that can help.
I have a 2008 Dodge RAM 1500 with a 3.7L V6 and I recently replaced a bad A/C Discharge Line.
It had a pin hole in it from rubbing the alternator.
I have everything hooked back up and I pulled a vacuum on the system then added a 12oz can of...
