    i blew my engine 95 ram 5.9l

Yeah, the bracket needs to come off. Only a few bolts and then you can get that short coolant hose off the intake. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Try pushing in on the line and see if the tool will slide in further. Should just pop off then. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Yeah, I'm just bummed. Wanted to have the truck for the winter and now I have to pull the motor and rebuild it. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

I was looking up magnets to place in different areas. It was one of the suggestions in a thread I was reading. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Yeah, was just reading a few threads that said to tear it down because there will be metal shavings every where in the engine. Thought about getting a used one too. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Yeah I was just thinking about that. Really wanted my truck for the winter. Plus I'm going to have add up the cost and hope I can get what I need. Could the crank and pistons stay in? Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Guess the only way to be sure is to remove everything and clean the block. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Ok well crap, didn't look at the whole thing when I first took a look. But somehow a lobe for cylinder 1 and 2 are done for. Not sure how I managed to do this but looks like I'll be getting that cam I was thinking about Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Well found the problem, now I just hope that it didn't damage anything else and that it's all in the pan. New lifters showed up from summit so I am going to replace all of them just in case any others are about to go Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Not sure what else would be leaking but now I get to drop the trans to find out. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

This is my first time messing around in an engine. Swapped the pushrod's and got the same result. So I really think it may be the lifter. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

The rocker arm isn't loose though. I figured if the lifter was bad I should have some play in the arm or pushrod. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Pulled the valve cover off and turned the engine over by hand. The cylinder 2 exhaust valve doesn't move. The arm moves slightly but the valve doesn't open Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Well cylinder 2 has an issue the other plugs in that side looked clean. There is also a hairline crack on the insulator but that could have been from me removing it Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Ugh, have codes p0300, p0302, p0304, and p0308. So it seems that one side of the engine is misfiring. Could definitely feel and hear it. Going to pull the plugs once it cools down Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

I hooked a toggle switch up to the run wire for the fans. I've been starting the truck before turning the fans on and I turn them off before I shut off the truck. So far no issues. Well, there is 1 problem. Apparently the throttle valve lever and return spring vanished. Noticed it wasn't...
