    Maximizing mpg 6.4 hemi

I have a 2016 reg cab 6.4 4x4 with 4:10's. I don't tow/haul as much weight as you but when towing my TT with atv in bed, etc. I find the sweet spot for mpgs is 58mph and I don't run tow haul mode on the tranny. All that does is keep it in lower gear for longer. If I run 65 mpgs drop 1.5 or more...

    RIDES LIKE A TRUCK

Buy a 2500 or 3500, run the tires a factory spec 80/65psi. Keep your 1500, after driving the 2500 jump in your 1500 you'll realize your 1500 DOES ride like a Caddy! :D Seriously though. What tires and what's your psi. Also, not sure if it will help on the 1500 but on my 2500 RegCab Long bed I...

DragLink Recall-File a complaint with NHTSA

Well that's good to hear. So now it looks like FCA approves of installation of aftermarket parts by a third party to fix their screwups.

DragLink Recall-File a complaint with NHTSA

Regarding the Syndergy and FCA, etc.... My problem is I have a Lifetime Maxcare warranty. I don't want to do anything to the truck that FCA could use against me at some future date if I have front end problems. Including not getting a Safety Recall done. I want that recall cleared off my truck.

DragLink Recall-File a complaint with NHTSA

NHTSA approves the "fix" though This whole thing is a CYA move for NHTSA and FCA. The government agency exists to "make us safe and keep us safe" (don't get me started). They did their so-called job. They can now declare my truck is "safe" regarding this issue so now their asses are covered...

DragLink Recall-File a complaint with NHTSA

Yup, I custom ordered mine the way I wanted it and bought a Lifetime Maxcare Warranty. At some point I'll need an alignment and will have to deal with this fiasco.

DragLink Recall-File a complaint with NHTSA

If my tailgate latch fails they could weld the tailgate shut and tell me it's fixed and "safe". It won't fall open but won't function as designed. Same thing with the Drag Link. It might not come loose being welded but it no longer functions as designed. No matter how we slice it. This "fix"...

DragLink Recall-File a complaint with NHTSA

https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ Click the link and file a complaint with NHTSA regarding THEIR approval of this so-called fix. Complaining to FCA won't change anything. Here's with I wrote. Safety Recall V06 / NHTSA 19V-021 Drag Link - January 25, 2019 This so called fix is...

    2018 2500 tire upgrade

Taller tire will up you final drive ratio. You might not like the way it pulls your 5ver. Especially if you have 3.73 gears. I have a 6.4 with 4.10's and stuck with factory size. 33" is tall enough. Plus your speedometer/odometer will be off.

    Yet Another 6.4 3.73 or 4.10 Question

With 33" tires and 2 overdrive gears (6 spd) it's stupid to neuter these trucks with 3.73's. Order one the way you want with 4.10's. 4'10's do nothing to hinder the truck.

Both Exhaust Manifolds Leaking on 2014 6.4

Ya, if the dealership finds out a tech is workin the system he's a gonner. It's not worth losing a franchise over. I've seen it happen. The tech(s) gettin ousted that is.

Both Exhaust Manifolds Leaking on 2014 6.4

Sounds to me like your tech/service dept saw your maxcare warranty as a blank check. Tech probably made time on the flat rate job by doing the job in half the time as what flat rate pays. Parts replacers (so called mechanics) can make a lot of money replacing parts under warranty that don't...

Drag Link Adjuster for the VO6 recall debacle

What do these aftermarket parts do to our Lifetime MaxCare Warranty? At this point the blue lines from the factory are still lined up on mine. I'm thinkin I'll get a 41mm crowfoot for my torque wrench and check em from time to time. It just gravels me though. I bought a new truck with a...

Drag Link Adjuster for the VO6 recall debacle

Ya I know. My dealer said, and I quote..."you will have to pay to have them un-welded and re-welded"... I'm thinking they should just replace the current adjuster with this new part.

    son heading home towing camper

Forget the mpgs and perceived "saving of time"..... there is the safety factor! Towing is not a race! High speed towing is like Russian Roulette. A blow out, a gust of wind, having to brake hard, a sudden swerve, TV and hitch not setup right and the next thing you know the tail as waggin the dog...
