In desperate need of 5th wheel towing advise
Quick question. I too will be pulling a 10,000 empty weight 5th wheel and was looking installing the Firestone 5000 unit on my 2021 2500 Laramie. Do you feel the Red Label 7500 unit would be more appropriate? Appreciate your input. Lee- ETX Ram

Light rotary switch itself is in auto? Assume that is way you mean in first sentence. Pretty sure 2018s have forward mounted camera above rear view mirror as sensor as mine will sense both oncoming headlights and tail lights being followed. Not sure about 2020 models, but assuming same setup... -

No experience with the 6.7 CTD. To this day even my wife misses our 05 5.9 CTD single cab 4x4 flatbed with 6 spd manual. Many a load from Mississippi to Texas grossing 38K to 40K hauling round bales. Never once had any issues and within 60 miles the CPU would "retrain" itself for the heavy load...- ETX Ram

X2 on renting a trailer like McBroom said if one can't be borrowed with good tires. Take some 4x4 material with you too along with the straps because figure it would have to go across the trailer side rails or be loaded at an angle fore and aft.
