    Can't help you on the hose, but I'm sure you know you have a VERY rare truck. Very few 03s made with the V10. (I had a97 2500 V10). I've only ever seen one 03 V10 in real life, at Carlisle many years ago. The owner knew what he had, and wasn't selling! Good luck with the hose.

    Stays in the port. Got mine yesterday. Don't notice any difference, I guess that's the idea. It's functioning as intended, per the LEDs on the unit. So yes, when you need a code reader, you'll have to unplug it.

    As others have said, I think it best that you let your dealer tech handle it. Have them put dye in the oil, drive it, and black light it. Then they can diagnose from there. Please keep us posted.
