    33" tires are no more than a 285 tire....when you increase the rolling resitance of the truck with larger tires, the engine will use more power to move. The best mod you can do if you want to go with larger tires, especially over 35" is regear it...then I would get a tuner and tune it properly.

    If youre gonna lift it, make sure you spring the extra cash for the 4.56 gears, that will help get back some of the mileage lost with the larger tires...

    When you replace them, make sure you get greasable replacments, even if it costs more...and just do them all while your at it...especially if your putting it in the mudhole...then everytime after you go mud slingin, grease the hell outta them.

    Thats not something you will wanna get creative with...for the safety of yourself and the safety of people on the road with you, it is better to fix it properly, by replacing the line with steel line.

    I have never used it personally.....I have always stayed with Duplicolor myself. My dad's 76 Chevy truck was primed with RustOleum via a damn roller...how many coats of the primer did you do? Did you sand the primer before the top coat?

    The self etching primer will work as an adhesion promoter...and with working with bare metal like that, the self etch is your best bet.
