a/c condenser fan not working but a/c turns on
I had an issue with my condenser fan, it wouldn't shut off. When the temperature got above 90 here in Phoenix the fan would come on when the truck was started with the A/C in the off position. 90 isn't hot here so I tried a number of things the resolve the problem, relays, in dash controls, ect...- edhead

I checked the fan last spring and there isn't 12 volts at the fan with the key on. Something has to activate a switch to power the fan. That's where the problem is. I appreciate your advise but I'm not sure that will solve my issue. Somewhere in the circuit when it's hot the fan is being...- edhead

A/c fan continually running
I have a similar problem with my 04 RAM 4.7. When the temp here in Phoenix gets above 85 the condenser fan will run on it's own without anything switched on. I discussed this last weekend with the parts guy at the local dealer. He suggested I replace the ambient temp sensor. It controls more...- edhead

I have found the answer to my problem... I replaced the A/C - Heater control module in the dash and the fan has stopped running. Now that we're into the low 100's here in Phoenix the fan would be running all the time.- edhead

Thank you for the reply. The controls are set for dash exit of air and the temp to the cold setting. I live in Phoenix and it will be hot enough today the fan will be running when I get home. I'll move the controls the floor exit of air and see if that works. The fan only comes on when it's hot...- edhead

I have a 2004 Ram 4.7. The condenser fan runs when the temperature is in the high 80's W/O the A/C turned on. Is there any way this can be adjusted or replace the thermostat that controls the fan? I would think it should only run with the A/C on. Thanks- edhead
