2012 2500 CTD trans whine

Specs: 2012 2500 CTD 6 speed auto trans 4x4, 3" leveled with 35s and 45k miles on the stock drive train. I've had the truck for about 6 months and it's been aGreat vehicle so far. Mannnn I really want to delete this truck of mine. Heres the issue I live in California. So, Is it dumb/ too much of a pain to pull this stuff off and reinstall it when my smog time comes around. sounds like you need to know some people to get around it and evan then its a risk. But yours is a 5.9, isn't it easier to take off and put on the stock equipment?.... no particulate filter... I feel lucky that i don't have to put in def fluid in but the '12 still has alot of emissions crap on...- swp1983

Will I throw codes or go into limp mode with this? Bad idea? Was thinking about installing this kit and yanking it off when i need to smog (temp).... what else am i missing installing this install? California Emissions on a 2011 Ram 3500 Diesel
So what happens when you need to get the truck smog checked? I just had my 2012 CT smogged and was told if any of the emissions stuff had beed messed with it would not pass. I guess you need to have a buddy in the smog shop!? interested bc I'm also in California and would like to open her up!- swp1983

Never heard of people having trouble topping off the system with one small can of 134. I'll never do that again... It's going to the shop on thurs to have the system checked and prob evac all the old and put in some fresh refrigerant... Last time I mess with the A/C system.... Amature hour- swp1983

I was only trying to get it to cool " faster" . it took quite a while to get cold. Thats the reason i attempted to recharge thanks for the info in advance Shawn- swp1983

I hope i didn't make a mistake trying to top off my AC refrigerant with one of those do it your self kits at the auto store. I bought a small can that included a fill hose ( no gauge). I ran the truck at high idle and AC on high put in that can of r134. Soon after the compressor made a loud pop...- swp1983
