Buying a chrome 2021 rear bumper that is brand new from an individual this week for 250 dollars. Has cutouts for exhaust and sensors! Looking forward to using this write up to put it on my 2011 ram!
Do you have a programmer? Is that how you run without mds? Also, would I need to not run mds in order to run the iridium plugs?

I’ve been reading the same but I’ve seen where some people with 2011s have run the ngk iridium ix without changing the coils and they said they had no issues. Was hoping to see if others had experience with this.

So I have a 2011 5.7 hemi with 113k miles. I spent several hours last night researching spark plugs through the various threads out there. Didn’t really see anything recent about this so I thought I’d post this. I have been reading about the 2009-2013 trucks require the copper plugs because in...
No I used 7 qts. I always use 7 qts when I change it. No clue as to why it was low. I never got any check engine/low oil lights.
I have a good friend that has a 2015 ram and he said that his is usually a qrt or so low every time he changes his as well and he doesn’t have any leaks either...
Guys! I am pleased to report that doing an oil change with 5w30 solved the issue. She is as quiet as a mouse this morning at startup! Definitely wasn’t exhaust leak. I did notice I was about 2 quarts low after changing. No visible leaks and doesn’t appear to be burning [emoji2369]

I’ve actually read of some others that mentioned what you are saying. Also about the oil filter drain back valve. I guess my first step would be to change the oil and filter.

I used copper gasket maker for flange to y pipe and on the felpro manifold gaskets as well to give a little extra assurance. That’s what has me baffled

I did check y pipe connection, doesn’t appear to be leaking. I added some copper sealant to it as well. Oil filter is Mobil 1. But I do have 9k miles on it. I was trying the annual protection deal with the oil filter and oil to try and get more miles between oil changes. Think I spent 70 dollars...
Just hope I’m not on the path to replacing a camshaft from stuck lifters! I know some people probably won’t care about the sound, but I’m the type of person that If something on my truck’s not right, I’ll worry about it till it gets right! It eats at me.

I checked manifold on other side. It had sat over night when I did this video this morning. Agree that it goes away quick. It won’t usually do it if it’s been warm and I crank it up. Only if it sits for like an hour or more.

I will take a look at your other thread. It was the original manifolds. 6 Months ago I only had a leak on the passenger side and one bolt was broken. There was some warpage so I had a local machine show plane it down because I had read from others on this site that the bolts break because the...
2011 ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 Hemi. 6 months ago, I had a broken exhaust manifold bolt. I got the manifold planed and installed new bolts and a felpro gaskets. Well a week ago I noticed a lifter/exhaust sound again only on cold starts that only lasts for a couple of seconds. Figured the manifold...
Well I’m reporting back and after all the resealing. I’m still getting so fogging towards the bottom! It seems to happen after I run the halos. I’m at a loss now!

Well I pulled both headlights back out tonight. I decided to try something else while checking the vent caps. I got my wife’s hair dryer and I mixed a bottle of soapy water. I left all the caps on except the side marker. Turned the hairdryer on and sprayed soapy water around the lenses where it...
Yeah they have two vents. I didn’t check to see if they are pushed in. I’m gonna check those tonight and report back.

I’m thinking mine are sealed good, cause I’ve got two layers of sealant between the butyl and silicone. I’m betting mine has to do with venting. Hoping someone may chime in that has gone through this also
