    So i ended up replacing the battery, seems to have solved the problem. I thought 4 years may have been a little early for it to crap out, but apparently not. I used a volt meter to test the alternator and it worked fine. I don't think I'll be trusting the battery testers at advanced auto anymore.

    just bought and need troubleshooting help.

    Sounds like the MDS system. Use the + and - buttons on your gear shift and select 5 or 6, depending on how many gears you have. It'll shut MDS off and you'll run on all 8 cylinders all the time. You could also use the tow/haul button if you have it but I'm not sure of the consequences of driving...

    Just wondering if anybody has used a tow dolly before to tow a front wheel drive car. They are significantly cheaper to rent but I'm not sold on their reliability yet. I'll need it to tow about 2000 miles and I definitely do not want to do 55 mph with it. I'd be on the road for weeks!
