Max Care quote for my used 2021 Classic Warlock: No?

I have to differ with your thoughts, I've had the extended warrenties on my last two trucks and my wifes last vehicle. I ran the last truck till the end of the extended warranty (5 year, 100,000 mile) then traded it towards this last truck. I had paid my "15" off in "16" and this lightly used...

Looks like I'm never buying RAM again...

Oh hell, the first "truck" I drove was a 59 Chevy 2 ton with the "big" 235 cub 6 against a granny geared 4 speed. I used to dread driving that some times. Especially when my father would order 4 ton of fertilizer in 80# sacks and I'd get the lovely job of loading and then driving home with. With...

    greasin that hitch

My hitch comes out of the reciever whenever I swap for the different sized balls, one of them is usually always in the hitch. It works real good for the idiots that like to park by feel.

    greasin that hitch

I'm with the school of NEVER use grease it will collect and hold grit and grime and the ball shank will get locked in place and be almost unremovable. Powdered graphite will lube and not attract and hold dirt.

Max Care quote for my used 2021 Classic Warlock: No?

The extended warrenties are a gamble. I've gotten to the age were I don't want to do the work on my own vehicles. The joints don't bend as well and it's much harder to stand up once the horizontal postion has been acheived. Then the though of crawling under to get up under the dash for an...

Terrible towing with factory air suspension

After reading through all this my first guess would be that the new truck has a lower hitch ball height when loaded compared to the older truck. That would reduce the loading on the rear trailer axle and increase it on the front trailer axle effectivly shortening the trailer along with the...

    Floating Air Suspension

I had never noticed that feeling with ny 2019.

What grease/lube for power running boards?

A dry spray powdered graphite would be my go to. Anything that attracts and holds dirt and dust will cause issues. CRC® Dry Graphite Lube Ideal where a dry lubricant is required or where petroleum products must be avoided. Resists dirt, dust and oil build-up. Wide effective temperature range

    Salt sucks

Once the rust has started over coating it will not stop it, oil may soak in and slow it but nothing will stop it. Unless you remove all traces of rust and moisture and then seal it you will have a hard time controlling it. With rust starting under the "factory" undercoating it would be very...

Is The Eco Diesel Worth It?

I had a 15, which I traded at 98,000 miles. I miss the way that engine drove and pulled and the mileage it got. I did not get the upper 20.s that many post about getting. I did average around 24 in the spring, summer and fall, it did drop to 20-22 in the winter. That did have more idling on it...

Trailer Hitch Light on 5th gen 1500

There is an excellent thread on here by HAL9001 https://www.ramforum.com/threads/comprehensive-5th-gen-1500-fuse-relay-circuit-breaker-documentation.173711/page-2#post-2560356

    Veh braking while backing up

I had to turn my rear braking assit off, much of the time I'm backing down or up hills, towards banks or ditches or just grass and weeds. It would activate constantly.

    Turning lights off

OK, feeling a bit dumb here. Went to a drive thru Christmas light show. How in the heck do we turn all the lights off on these damned trucks, 2019 1500 Laramie. Tried everything I could think off even played with that damned electric park brake. It turned them off for a second, then right back on.

Adding Bed Weight for Winter Driving

When the forecast is calling for a storm I'll often throw a few hundred pounds in the bed of the pickup. It most certainly helps even with the studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires.

    Eco diesel engine blown

I enjoyed mine, the way it drove and the mileage that it got. When I replaced it I would have bought another if I could have found one optioned the way I wanted.

Aftermarket or OEM TPMS sensors + TPMS programming

I verify mine with a guage and then use them and do check them frequently. I find them to be handy and a heck of a lot easier then getting down on my old knee to use a guage on the tires weekly.

Which winter tire? (for Quebec winters)

Ha Ha, they would be good in deep powder but that is about it. Just think about ice skates and side hills or iced curves, and away you'd go.

    Balance beads

I guess that I am the only one around that has them. The last time I had tires mounted up the place didn't want to use a balancer on the 265/70R18's so they pushed the idea of the balance beads. So I went along with it. For the most part the beads seem to work, some days they seem to be off just...

    Best Tires for Western NY

Well I'm past my slalom racing day, and I'd prefer my road holding ability to be available in poor traction conditions. I don't see many smooth clean roads around for those low profile hi g corning capable tires, and they don't don't work as well as a higher profile tire does in pot holes ...

    Best Tires for Western NY

I sure do wish the manufactures would go back to a narrower tire with the same heights. These wide tires just ride up on top of every thing and lose traction. I've always liked a 25 or 245 mm tire width.

    Best Tires for Western NY

I have absolutly no use for so called "all season" tires. Their are summer tires and snow tires. Personaly I run studded Nokian snow tires in the winter, over kill many days but not always. Some days they are not enough.

    TPMS Sensors

My summer winter swap rims and tires have replacement sensors in them. My 15 had after market sensors and they were still working fine when I traded for my 19 in 2020. Those are still working as of now, I'll know in a couple of months about the one's in the winter tires. I got them on ebay...
