    I just want to add for anyone else reading this, that might do a project like this. I have pulled my dash 4 times now and reused the brake light switch everytime with no issues. It can definitely be reused and save your money.

    Shoot I just this after a while. And yeah last I spoke to him he swapped a trans, engine, dash, harness, and all over into his 3rd gen. He was working on a way to make it easier for people to swap to the 8hp70 trans in their gens without doing an entire swap.

    The auto and manual trans should have the same bolt pattern to the bell housing. They don't change.     What is an 'axle seal manifold'

    Maybe he had a brain fart. If it was smoking and smells like crap it was probably diff fluid and need to have the axle seals replaced. Pull the rotor off and see if it looks all gunky and like a bunch of diff fluid was leaking. It will definitely look oily on the parking brake pads if it's leaking.

    Well my second ram caught fire today. Not really sure what started the fire. Engine temp was normal had no leaks and she drove fine. Fire dept says that electrical fires are the most common on vehicles. Im pretty upset I lost the truck I had such good plans for her to build and slowly make nicer.

    What engine oil do yall use??

    I use a 5w30 royal purple. I started using this after my engine rebuild though, I have about 30k on the rebuilt 4.7. Before I used a 5w30 high mileage valvoline with 235k miles before the rebuild. Truck lasted long and ran good with that.
