Install tonneau cover w/drop in bedliner...might do a spray-in bed liner later...

For the Undercover Flex...any idea if I can buy replacement screws from Home Depot, Lowe's or anywhere else? Any idea what size they are? I did a good job of checking these screws periodically for the first year or so. They would back out a bit and I'd tighten them up. Amusing...considering...

Wheel issue (cracks in cover): '16 1500 Bighorn

I had an...interesting...visit to the dealership. The dealership acknowledged observing that there was damage to two wheels prior to the truck leaving the shop. Two or more individuals observed the damage (I know of two). No one said anything to me and the damage was not noted anywhere on the...

Wheel issue (cracks in cover): '16 1500 Bighorn

Thank you for your feedback. They'll be opening shortly. I'll give them a call and see what they're willing to do about it. I've had my truck there several times for service and I'd always been happy with the results prior to this discovery. Hopefully they'll take care of the issue.

Wheel issue (cracks in cover): '16 1500 Bighorn

I just got my truck serviced at the dealer a week or so ago. I just noticed an issue with two of the wheels tonight when I went to check the tire pressure. There are cracks in a circle around the Ram emblem. Any idea what would have caused this? Apologies for the photo quality...the cracks look...

    A Hemi getting 24mpg?

Maybe if you keep the speed WAY down, don't have any passengers/payload, and you're on a flat stretch. I run the same stretch of highway everyday. I've never broken 20 MPG, but that's more because I'm going ~72 MPH (over about 68-70 MPH seems to kill the fuel economy) and I have two passengers...

'16 1500 Bighorn: Intermittent Front End Rattle

Thought I'd post a follow-up on this (haven't been online in a while). No further issues since they adjusted the suspension ~30k miles. At 46k at the moment.

Should I buy this diesel when I dont tow

I would not consider spending $25k for a 10 year old 100k mile 2WD truck. I don't care what's under the hood. That's just me though. The fact that you have already identified it as a downside should tell you something. I can see you ending up with buyers remorse If you go that route. If you...

Does anyone else have rattles from in & out the cab?

I'm at 28k. I've gotten some dash rattles. It doesn't bug me much though...I just turn the stereo up, lol. What annoys me is my front suspension rattles (the past 5k or so). I'm taking it back to the dealer to have them look at the suspension again last wee. I got ~1,500 miles out of their last...

'16 1500 Bighorn: Intermittent Front End Rattle

It was the suspension. They "relaxed" the front suspension and re-torqued it. It was good for a month or so. Taking it back in for the same issue next week.

'16 1500 Bighorn: Intermittent Front End Rattle

I appreciate the offer. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. I'll just have to figure out when I'm going to be able to get it down to my dealer. They're a good bunch and are responsive, so I'm hopeful that they'll be able to address it. My dealer is just far enough away that I've been putting...

'16 1500 Bighorn: Intermittent Front End Rattle

I popped the hood and looked around (to include shock mount), but I did not look for the bump stops you mentioned. I'll give that a look see this afternoon. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. My Ram is 100% stock, to include the suspension and exhaust.

'16 1500 Bighorn: Intermittent Front End Rattle

'16 1500 Bighorn 4WD with 5.7L and 25k miles. There's been an intermittent rattle in the front end. Any idea where to start looking looking? I crawled around under it this evening looking at the suspension and steering components (things that I've had issues with previous vehicles in the past)...

Teach Me "The Art Of The Deal".......

When you see people getting $12k+ off...would you be satisfied with $9,500 off? I know I wouldn't be. I'm not spend $34k (pre-tax) on something that I would have gotten for $32k if I'd bought it a week earlier (the end of the month).

    How did you find RamForum.com?

Google. I was doing vehicle research on the internets and found this place. It's a great resource.:favorites13:

Where to buy 1 wheel, 1 tire?

Craigslist or eBay on the wheel. On the tire...look around for a used tire place. When I was waiting to get my VW TDI bought back...I picked up a couple nails in a tire and needed a replacement. I put new tires on it about a year earlier, so I was hoping to find something with ~75% tread...

    Buying a 17 ram 1500

Yup. I did it twice years ago. Speaking from experience...if you roll-in a sizable amount of negative equity on the new truck...you're going to realize that you got bent over and done dry sooner or later. OP...if you're going by a dealer to try and figure the payment thing out...you're...

We got quarter to golf ball sized hail yesterday. Lots of dings on the hood of the truck. Not a mark on the cover though. Pretty impressed.

    Quad Cab vs Crew Cab

My last truck was a crew cab with a short bed. The shorter bed length (vs. the extended cab bed length) annoyed me on a regular basis. It seemed like no matter what I was hauling...it was just a bit too long to be able to close the tailgate. Yeah...I know...I could have just strapped the item...

My First Ram 2017 Ram 1500 Night Edition

Welcome.:favorites13: As far as a first mod...go get a bed cover. I went with an Undercover Flex. It's a solid (as opposed to soft vinyl) tri-fold, and you can open it up all the way and prop it open (or just remove it). It's convenient and secure...as are the similar options out there. ex...

    Need some honest opinions....

It's not my cup of tea, but it's not my truck (the same goes for your wife). Go put them on there in the morning, leave them for a few days, and then decide what you think of them. If you don't like them...pull them off. Edit: By the way...I am generally not a fan of aftermarket wheels, but...

What DON'T you like about your RAM?

I don't like that it's so much fun to drive that if I had more money...I'd pick up a second one (regular cab 2WD 5.7L) just for $h1ts and giggles to hot rod out. In all seriousness though...the one thing that I've found that's annoyed me is that when I close the rear sliding...
