    tailgate kit mystery

    I have 2016 1500 Quad cab. Under the rear seat was a little plastic bag with a little plastic part in it in some sort of electrical plug. There's a note that says something about tailgate removal. What is this for? Should I save? Or should I just stick it somewhere in the house?
