the door was partially open, the wind blew it all the way open hard. now there is no longer the slight gap between the front quarter panel and the door. when I open and close the door the scrapes the front panel, anyone experience this and was able to fix it?

Putting up and removing sand bags everytime the weather gets bad isn't a good option since I have a bulging disc. The rear engine is probably more work than I want to do
2006 3.7 Regular Cab 6' bed, RWD
The RWD is the issue in bad weather since I don't keep anything heavy back there.
BUT
Is it possible (anything's possible but within a reasonable amount of work) to relocate the engine to the back right above the rear wheels, like on a 911?
I know Smyth used to...
pulled out a screw, stuck in a tire plug.
tire still has a slow (albeit much slower) leak.
I think I may have skrewed up, I don't supposed I can force a big plug through the smaller one?
I've been tracking this as best I can, given logistics but I miscalculated in my initial post, it's more like 1.5 quarts every 2,000 mi or thereabouts. everything seems dry including under the hood
oil consumption is now over a quart in just over a week. no oil spots after I park and no oil smell while driving, strangely there are some droplets splashed on the fan cover and bottom half of the intake, I touched the spots and they looked like and felt like they could have been very fresh oil
I agree but I have three things working against me.
First is moving to Pittsburgh where it's not only bad weather, the roads are narrow one lane roads that are also hilly and curvy. I've driven three RWD vehicles up there in winter (one of which was a rear engine / RWD so there was weight over...
I may pull the trigger on getting a 2017 AWD charger w 150k miles on it.
How many miles is the engine & transmission on a V8 awd charger typically good for?
I'm in love with the simplicity (and reliability) of my 2006 RAM 1500 V6.
Thinking about getting a charger 4wd.
Is it the same simple design and ease of DIY?
(Perhaps not as easy to DIY as the RAM pickup but say compared to an Audi or Mustang)
I'm going to angle grinder off the rusted portion above the rear wheels.
Rather than having just plain cutout metal I was hoping to get one of those plastic arch covers that you see on the F150s, anyone know where I can get them?
tia
pulled up the flooring, think i found the leak,
the back of the cab has vents, one behind the driver and one behind the passenger. I guess to relieve stale air in the cabin. water was able to get from there down to the footwell.
the one behind the passenger seat had come off and was resting on...
got around to pulling off the passenger kick panel, lots of water in the groove.
pulled up the flooring, tons of water.
I've had a few places look into it, no one can solve the leak.
can I just drill relief holes in the floor?
if so, how do I keep the holes from rusting, just paint?
My truck is a 2006 RWD V6 w no sunrooof
No water appears when driving in the rain.
Only when stationary and during a heavy rain?
Garden hose has been tried before all over, no leaks.
I'll remove the kick panel next heavy rain.
Only happens if the rain is heavy.
Had the cowl cleaned, no difference, carefully inspected the door, seems solid.
Waited for the next rainstorm, cleared some space, watched the water start forming where the picture is circled.
Interestingly after the rain stopped and I opened the door, the door...
i like dodge because i find them easy to to diy
want to get a car for my kid but the kid struggles with large vehicles like pickups and suvs (parking, close quarters etc)
also i’d like to have a 4wd/awd for bad weather.
what is the smallest dodge out there w 4wd/awd?
seeing pictures it doesn't look as good as I thought it would without the bed, I'd also have to secure and waterproof the tail lights, thanks for the feedback
Since i’m no longer hauling much of anything and think the deleted bed would look cool, aside from propping up the tail lights and filler neck, would this cause any other issues, for example not enough weight in the back (mines a rear wheel drive) etc.
Looked up some wobble kits, none made for rack & pinion models.
It comes and goes, usually within the first 30 minutes of driving then if I'm on a long trip it won't wobble for the rest of the drive. Lasts for about 15/20 minutes. Typically I can slow down or stop, then as I get back up to speed...
On the entry assist handle on the driver's side (pictured), there are two circles that look to be removable.
Today it was raining out and for the first time I noticed water dripping out of the bottom portion of the upper circle.
I drew an arrow right at the point of the water leak.
