I ended up zip tying the connection under the access panel to the tailgate frame. It’s held in by a plastic piece but had at least 1" of play. Now mine works flawlessly, will see if the repair is permanent.
I am going to fall in line with the masses and blackout my rims. My question, should I remove and discard the plastic covers and dip the bare metal or leave the covers on?
Hooking up a dash camera. Any suggestions which blank fuse spot to use? Diesel fuses, air ride, adjustable pedals are all blank. Cigar lighter (no idea what it is)?
Meh, wasn't expecting much of an upgrade and didn't get one. I'm pretty sure that if someone got in the truck before and after they wouldn't notice a difference. 6x9's in rear door made much more of an impact.

Cut both slip on ends and strip 1" of wire on both the black and white. Black to black, white to red. Plug both adapters to stock harnesses. You must add the sub ring and then attach to the sub box. You will need to drill new holes, I believe only 2 lined up. Attach...
I may not be explaining myself clearly. I plug the metra into the trucks factory end. The metra has black and white wires with slip on ends. I have to cut these ends off and expose the wire. The sub has + and - push terminal studs. Which wire, black or white, is going in the positive stud?
Sorry in advance, searched and couldn't find any information. installing the pioneer sub, have the Metra harness. I know I gotta cut the connectors, just not sure the colors for + and -. I feel like I've seen a couple posts about the black being positive.
Did you use the metra harness for the sub upgrade? I'm installing the same sub, have the harness which requires cutting the speaker ends..just wondering which wires are + and -
