Re-torqued the intake manifold bolts and they are torqued to spec...... If it was the cam/lifter, it will make ticking noise regardless of engine temperature, correct? Also, it will tick even when the engine is not under load, basically, when transmission is in park while rev up the engine. It...- Fangt

2014 ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi, 254000 kms. I have been hearing high pitched whistle (griding?) sound when the truck was cold, underload, just before gear shift at around 2500 to 3000 rpm when I started driving in the morning for the last two months. 2014 Ram 1500 laramie towing mirror puddle light question.
Update....I installed the puddle lights. Both of them worked. Disconnected the negative battery terminal for 20 minutes and reconnect it. The puddle light stopped working. Very very strange....indeed. -

Problem solved. Let's just say it is a short between keyboard and the chair. The towing mirror being aftermarket, it does not have the the factory plug in. I had to cut off the connectors and splice in the wires. After reading LeeD's comment, I decided to double check my splices, and found I... -

The original post was trying to find the pros and cons of V6 Efan conversion on V8 hemi for my particular climate (extrem cold in winter and mild summer) and application (heavy towing up and down mountains in summer). My understanding is that Efan conversion without low temperature thermostat, and tuner will give better throttle response and will work in most normal driving conditions. It appears the shape of stock shroud on V8 is better at directing air flow toward the engine than shroud of V6 Efan, so it make sense that it can cool the engine as well as V6 Efan, even being a little smaller than V6 Efan. On that note, anyone tried the combination of V6 Efan itself with V8...- Fangt

Efan conversion for cold climate
After much consideration, I decided to not go with Efan conversation. The V6 Efan cost about 170 and Diablo Predator 2 tuner cost about 500. It is hard to justify that amount of money for marginal gain in torque.... Thank you all for your suggestions.- Fangt

I found a set of second hand bushwacker pock style fender flares, the series number is 50919-02, according to Bushwacker website, they are for 2500 and 3500s. I am wondering if anyone from here have put them on 1500? How do they fit? Any trimming needed? -

Totally agree. About the heat, LED does produce more heat than HID, but the heat is directed to the back of housing through heat sink, not toward the lenses, which, as I mentioned above, helps melt snow/ice off the lenses. -

Your shop is correct about LED last longer and run cooler, less power draw, however, I have to disagree with LED works well with projector housing. Think about it, the OEM projector housing was designed to reflect the OEM holegen bulb, which emit light as a small cylinder, LED light emit light... -

2500 Reg Mirror to Tow Mirror Question
Adjust down when in reverse feature is set in your 8 inch screen, in setting, safety and driving assistance. I disabled this feature after I swamped to towing mirror, it is not really needed with the extra little mirror on the side. -
